Holy shit! No denying he took a dirt nap on that one. Good thing he didn't get landed on.

Was the guy making the mid-air lane-change trying to avoid something else ahead of him?

Don't know, and I'm not blaming the guy- can't see what he was trying to avoid.

Man that fakin sucks!! Not even his fault. Really like Bogle too. I’d imagine Hoeft messed up the jump before or something. He went sideways and came up short even.

Took these about .5 seconds before he hit the deck.

Man, I hate seeing that type of shit. Quick healing vibes to Bogle.

That was hard hit. Even new mips/6d would not make difference on that hard hit compare old design he was using.

Is it really a "cross jump" when its unintentional? I love this forum sometimes lol

That was vicious. With the strange slow motion effect we go through as we realize we're going to hit the ground, he had all kinds of time to think about how vicious it was going to be. (I guess I'm assuming everyone experiences the slow mo deal...)

This is also in the 'Bogle Crash' thread. Hopefully Justin recovers quickly.

That was clearly not an intentional cross jump from Hoeft. He clearly messed up the first triple and then struggled to make the second and that is why he drifted to the left.

Unfortunate race situation. Lets hope that Bogle is fit when the gate drops at A1.

Personally, I've always looked at the term "cross-jumping" as something I've used to describe any situation when someone moves across the track when jumping. I didn't think of it as a malicious label but I can see how it can be taken as so. I've swapped the title of the story and headline to state they collided, instead of cross-jump.

The post changes have destroyed the current Facebook share links, so they shouldn't work as a click through. The original Facebook post has been removed as well.

I look at cross jumping as anytime they cross lines down a section. Some people do it maliciously, clearly this wasn't one of those cases. Very unfortunate racing incident.

I too look at cross jumping as a non-intent specific action. Not to say that some guys don't intentionally cross jump though.

Cross jumping is an intentional action to keep someone behind you. It's extremely dangerous.

This was not cross jumping. The first rider made a small mistake and drifted into Boggles line. This was not intentional so hence it's not cross jumping.

While he indeed cross jumped, I don’t blame Hoeft. The section was dangerous and overwatered, our Vegas Dirt is like Ice when wet, just ask Eli. Looks like Hoeft spun and shot offline causing a “racing incident”. If anyone wants to place blame, then place it on RC for that poor design. A rhythm section you enter at 65mph.... really?

Cross jumping is crossing over lines while jumping, intentional or not.

Watching him slam into the face of the next jump gave me flashbacks of Roczen's crash.

Glad he is somewhat ok.
