This is my MX Racer. It’s been around since early ‘19 and has done PLENTY of parts testing.

My recent purchase: 2007 RM 125 that’s too much fun. Getting it around the track quickly is ENTIRELY DIFFERENT than riding my 450 SX-F.

I ride all of them because they’re so damn fun. The “Box Stock” CRF450X is capable of being a bike for all occasions...just like the 350. Heck, the KTM is, too!
Cheerful
Corin Fators old RM-125 is looking good! Crazy story behind that bike.

2018 KTM 450 XC-F. First bike after taking about 7 years off (last bike was an 07 RMZ 450). I'm a big guy (6'1", 215 pounds). Love this bike...I can ride woods one day, desert trails another and track the next. It's not the best available at any of those, but for me it isn't bad at any of them. I love the flexibility of the air forks for just that reason...I like to ride a bunch of different places. Also, the KTM 450 power is so smooth and easy, it almost feels like a 350 to me.

52 and I like riding a 450 because my corner speed isn't the best but I can still make it over the jumps with just a twist of my wrist.

I'm 59, and race a 2005 YZ125 upgraded to SSS suspension.
I race 3 classes when possible. 50+ beg/novice, 250f beginner, and 125 beginner when they it.
When I start winning, I'll move myself up (hopefully this year).
I ride a 125 because of how it makes me ride, all out (on a good day).
I have a couple friends close in age that ride the same. We're having a blast and all determined to get fast!
I'll be racing the amateur day before the second national at Fox raceway this year. I'll be running #446.
Hope to see ya there!
Where do you guys typically ride? I am currently 52 and also ride a 125 and would love to ride with more guys my age also on 125’s.

We mostly ride Fox Raceway, sometimes Cahuilla.
Come on down and hang out with us!
We have a blast!

I'd love to ride Perris again (been a while), and Glen Helen.

We'll be riding at Fox on Saturday.
Look for 2 or 3 YZ125's between the Pro track and the pit bike track.
I'm currently running #77. Will soon be back to 446.
PM me if you'd like. I believe it'll be forwarded to my email.

2021 KTM 450 SXF with MXT Lucky fork and shock kit and holeshot device, stock otherwise. Coming off 2017 KTM 450 SXF. Sorry no pics to post.

Why? Great easy to ride linear power. Handles great IMO, like the mapping and traction control on bars that isn't offer on some brands, option to add the KTM blue tooth mapping option which I have on order. Great clutch. Hour meter is standard. Like the air cleaner set up and engineering on the KTM's, very easy to work on, Great longevity, I have had 80+ hrs on my 17 with no issues, just 1 broken spoke. Just replaced normally wear parts..

Every vet stable should contain: one 144cc and one 350.
Yup. Thats what I did

18 RMZ450, I have stuck with the RMZ because it has a smooth power delivery and the confidence I have going into a corner knowing it will stick to the line.

Sharp bike. My 58 yr old pal, I knew since 90 from the Mx track and the ymca. Freaky that he’s in better shape than anyone at the y, but he trained there since he was little. He won a pro am race at Millville, awesome sand rider. He had 2 big crashes at a sand track on his 20 crf450, hospitalized both crashes. He is done riding a 450, looking for a yz125.

My new TM 144 is on its way and should be here in a few weeks. I also have a KTM 350. I’m 49 and slow but the small bore 2 strokes can make you feel like a hero. Had an 06 TM 125 and wanted just a bit more torque hence the 144.

Rode a buddy’s RMZ 450 and loved it. Smooth power and awesome handling. If I replace my 350 I’d seriously consider an RMZ.

Damnit man well I hope he’s on the mend! I’m 30 but no where near good enough shape or skill for a 450. Then I get wore out and it’s done lol I will say I love 250fs but I get lazy on them for sure. I like the 125s make you ride harder but you still ain’t going too fast new 450s are insane just stock

36 yrs old and back on a 125 full time. I bought this 2003 YZ125 a couple years ago as something fun to mess around on, and found I was riding it more than my 250F. Now the only 4 stroke I have is my lawnmower. I find this thing makes me stay in shape and really hit my marks on the track or I can’t make certain passes or clear big stuff cleanly. It makes me focus and be aggressive, and when you get off the track giving 100% effort I find I feel so much more accomplished. I do get completely waxed off the gate tho.

Well said. Yeah the feeling riding a 125 is great. Hills with turns and sweepers , you manual like Lamson at 96 des nation . Keep the gas on never shut the throttle all the way off. Keep it going use a little rear brake, light clutching, body english , etc. You get a feeling that your flying, with the wheels on the ground, it’s the best. You can be real presise in corners, pick a stone stuck in the clay. That’s your dime hit it every time. Body English to clear big jumps, too much fun.

63 years old, slow practice rider these days. The 350 keeps me a little more honest and easier to hang on to. Thank you moto, would have been way less exciting up to this point.

Running a 20 YZ450 nowadays, if I had my druthers I’d also have a YZ125, but ya know, money. May pick up an old one and get a little resto project going at some point here. The 450 is fun and all but I do miss the two stroke action too

41 years old here and 2020 TX300i for me. I mostly race in the woods these days and this thing is just a weapon in the trees. The TPI makes the power almost electric motor like and is sneaky fast. Just freshened it up with new plastic and graphics and got the suspension done over the winter and it’s better than ever.

YZ 250 with a bunch of goodies. Sold😕. Next Mx bike will probably another one or a YZF 250. I’m 62 and will be ? old when I come back. Might be the 70 class ?, kind of depends how long this latest get off takes to “fade out of the rear view mirror” so to speak Wife and family aren’t real enthused about me racing again. I’m done “for now”..... 😜.
The desire to race isn’t going away like I thought it would,

37 years old and just got my first 4 stroke, 2021 yz450f. I stuck with a yz250 for as long as I could but I was 2 seconds per lap quicker on a 450 so I made the jump this year
And the old yz
