I know this is not about curing cancer, and I know it's pretty stupid, but honestly it's really super important to me! Smile

I was thinking of keeping it stock as far as plastics and graphics (I have the full red gripper seat though). Still knowing my own neurosis I know I will totally bling it up and build some replica racer later on of course...

Needs more blue if you're going with the gold rims.

Otherwise black.

Yeah you gotta commit to one way or the other. You can't just have the rims black or gold with the rest of the bike stock.

Personally I like the gold the best on a honda.

Although I do love the black on my kx.

They all look like shit if you ride enough. But for most color/graffix schemes, go with black.

Marc,

Go with the gold if you want the retro look of Bailey's bike. Go black if you want the modern look.

The TLD bikes with blue seat and black rims, to me, don't flow well. I think the gold rims would have looked better.

Don't do this:

the thing about black wheels, is that after youve ridden enough, they look like shit.

I hate black rims! no defined line between the tire & the rim, just to much black,

Besides that black anodizing will get full of rock nick & show the Aluminum rim underneath, looks like shit when that happens.

Go with Gold or polished Aluminum.

How about running the Suz lighter colored flo-gold color? That would look killer on a CRF, and be something a bit unique.

stock works great till they are taco'd, IMO. I'd rather spend money on tires, rooms and fuel.

With stock plastic, bare aluminum would look better than gold or black. Put a blue seat on it and the gold would look good. I am not a fan of black rims.

Crap. Seems a majority favors black, but some of the Gold people have compelling arguments! I have two sets of rims waiting to be laced, so I can't use another color than the excel gold and black!

I think we need to talk about this for a little while longer. I don't mind people posting pics of CRFs with black and gold rims either. I think it's pretty splendid to argue over something like this, and I know for sure it's going to be a decision in the end with a pic. Smile

If it were me, I would go with the gold just to be different. Like a previous poster mentioned, a little bit of blue here and there will really make it look good.

I like the classic and maybe boring silver. Like on the factory Honda's. Those bikes are simple and look great IMO.
