I will be Leaving Vegas on Monday driving to the JuniorMotoX in Oklahoma City. Practice starts on Thursday so I Will have a little time to kill along the way.

Are there any good tracks or Moto shops I can check out along I 40 on the way?

You could stop by the Kawasaki dealership in Elk City for a glimpse of what the Canards' life looked like.

Honestly, there isnt much of anything between Vegas and OKC. Lots of desert and flat land. Its not moto, but you could stop at the Big Texan (home of the 72 oz steak challenge). It is a little tourist trap like but is pretty fun and the food is pretty good.

You need anything while in OK let me know.

The only place I can think of is REYNARDRACEWAY.COM. (405) 793-1049. It's located near Wellston OK, just north of OKC. Call and get info I guess.

I just drove almost this same route last week. The only moto thing I saw on I-40 was a track about 30 minutes east of Albuquerque.

Is it open? Or just for selected events (track in Elk City)?

Just thought of this, but OP will be driving through a past and current town of Trey's!

OP, you can also stop and do some white water rafting. It is on I-40 in downtown OKC. You dont need anything. They provide what you need. Yes, I am serious.

Keep your eyes open for Twisters, the Big Boys come out this time of the season and like to stir shit up around the I-40 and OKC area. If for some reason you go through Okmulgee, check out Jandenbeurs MX on Hwy 75.

That track is Moriarty mx. Or it's called Sandia mx now. It's not open for practice during the week.

High velocity cycles is a Moto shop in Albuquerque. They don't sell new bikes or anything but it's the most Moto oriented shop in town. And Greg the owner is cool as shit. Grab a blakes lotabugrer with seasoned fries while your in town. It won national geographics best burger in the world. It's that good. And lock your doors while your in New Mexico. Bunch of punk ass bitches stealing shit a lot lately.

Elk City has been redone and is pretty good. Hit them up for during the week riding. Thursday night practice in Norman is really good. Track prepped well, usually 100+ bikes. Usually a fast guy or 2 shows up(Forkner was here last week). Oklahoma Motorsports Complex on facebook. Reynard's track at Wellston(20min from Guthrie) does wednesday practice in summer, not sure if Robbie has started that yet this year, hit him up. Guys at Ajax kawasaki in OKC know whats going on around here so stop by there if you need anything

Norman practice is $5 spectator, $20 rider. Usually divides into big bike fast, big bike slow, 85/fast 65's, 50/slow 65's

I have lived In Amarillo on and off. A place called Dyers bbq is just off I-40 and Georgia. It blows doors on the Big Texan. It will wow your face.
