That just triggered a ten minute internet/wiki browsing session, I never followed motogp...
Such a career, congrats to him!

Have a look at the 2004 opener in South Africa. Rossi's first ride on the Yamaha. He left Honda after they said it was mostly the bike that won the titles and not the rider. He raced the then new cross plane crank M1 against the more powerful Honda and won. The guy is unreal.

Such a great race. Rossi has been in so many epic battles. I used to hate on him coz I'm a Pedrosa fan but these days I can't help but be amazed at what he's achieved & for so long. Still want Pedrosa will the championship one day though Wink

I think Dani is incredible. It's such a shame his season has been wrecked with the operation. I always thought that the Yamaha would suit him way better than having to man handle that Honda . We may never find out

Sorry, but he is not human. That sport s about balance and high end reflexes and reaction time. Somehow his are still up there.

It has been a huge pleasure to watch him, the only reason I watch MotoGP.

You could be right but he's loyal servant to Honda. Started on Hondas, finishes on Hondas.

Dani has showed that he has pace this weekend, he has made tremendous strides in the last few weeks, no reason why he shouldn't be up there with the rest of the aliens. Throw in maniac Joe and we are in for another belter.

Very cool to see him back in form, but nothing will compare to the 250 GP days on Aprilia, just insane! Nobody ever backed a 250 smoker in like him. HUGE margins of victory.

Memory is a little foggy but I believe his first GP title was in 1994 on 125 Aprilia at age 16. Yes it was a smoker, 1990's was IMO the heyday for GP.

Ahh back in the day. i loved the Rainey/Schwantz battles then the torch was passed to my all time favorite Mick Doohan. Anyone that has their legs sewn together and then their ankle fused completely so he can still race is a bad ass!

Checked the record books, first GP title was in 1997 on Aprilia 125. Nonetheless, his career in GP racing is approaching the 20 year mark, that is simply brain numbing. He owes it to the fact that he has remained (for the most part and compared to others) injury free.
