Currently running VP110 36:1 with Bel-Ray HR-1.

thinking of swapping to T2 as it is premixed.

I have a 2009 YZ250 with 2 hours on current rebuild.

One other question i have the T2 says not to leave in bike?

Thanks for feedback.....

I used to always run CAM2 but stupid liberals ruined it and ts not for sale anywhere near me any more......

i've heard good things on t2, just wish it were mixed at 32:1. Is it leaded like 110?

It is leaded i believe. T2 is 40:1 so should still be okay....just was hoping someone had used it to say yay or nay

I use the T2 currently in my 07 KX 250. What I have had in the bike lately is kind of old I would say 4-5 months old without any use and it is still fine, not sure if you are supposed to leave it in the bike, but I havent had any issues with it eating any of the float gaskets or anything so it seems ok.
I used to run the leaded 110 cut at 50% with pump gas at 40:1 so switching to this seems like it runs cleaner in my opinion and was easier to jet, the 110 would need constant changes but the T2 doesn't seem as finicky and I have had it jetted once and I haven't had to do much else.
But as it stands I like it more than the 110 for a bout the same price and it comes pre mixed.

I have used it plenty in my tc250. It’s leaded and oxygenated. I think you will notice more throttle response and overall power. I have personally never had a problem with leaving it in the tank for a few weeks between rides. The fuel will not stay fresh as long as the 110 once it’s out of the can due to the oxygenation (the technical stuff is just my understanding from research). It is mixed 40:1 with a mystery oil, some think it’s a maxima product.

yes you are correct, it's also oxygenated which 110 is not.

The problem with leaving it in the bike is probably more so the fact that it is an oxygenated fuel (performance / running wise). Jet the bike (probably up a size or two for the O2 in the fuel), with fresh fuel, go to ride the bike 2 weeks later with the fuel thats been sitting in the tank thats now oxygen depleted from sitting in the tank vented to atmosphere, and you're probably rich now.

I've run it (I run u4.4 now because its the same price as T2). When you're done riding for the day turn the gas off and lay the bike on its side to drain the bowl and you'll be fine. You might need to go up in size on the main and pilot jets due to the oxygen content, but you will for sure notice better throttle response and a bit more power.

All you’ve gotta do is add 4oz of oil to make it 32:1

It will degrade but it doesn’t degrade that fast. As long as you are riding regularly you will be fine. Just put 1 gallon at a time in for MX, unless you know you are going for a long ride where you need the tank full.

I think 5 gal where I purchase at is $68 or $70, its a bring your own 5 gal jug place. I think the 110 was $65 for 5 gallon when I bought it.

I would Absolutely not be buying an oxygenated fuel from a race shop thats dealing it off out of a drum by the gallon, you have zero control over how fresh the fuel is. Unless they are N2 charging the drum they're dispensing it out of and keeping it under constant pressure, then its a different story.

Since were going for minute technicality details here, tell me more how he's going to preserve the drum of fuel if he's opening it daily to insert a hand drum pump rather than utilizing pressure to dispense the fluid?

FYI, I believe there are some dyno articles from Dynotech where the sled drag guys (who love Q16, which has a very low RVP), have stale fuel from a fresh unopened 5 gal pale. Furthermore since that is probably a quality issue up front, a 5 gallon pail cracked , a gallon dispensed for testing, sealed, then re opened the next day for more testing will yield wonky results. Obviously the RVP of T2 is higher than something like Q16, but its not just "resealing" something you've opened to preserve it. Sure thats better than nothing. But with air space comes the opportunity for the light ends of the fuel to escape.

It works well. Never had an issue with going bad. The problem is it puts off a lot of fumes! When we ran it I could open the shop door (large shop) and smell nothing but it from the bike. After working in the shop for awhile the smell would get to me and start to give me a head ache.

I’m not one who is all sensitive to chemicals or really worries about such things, but this can’t be good.

Storing the fuel in the original steel can is the best way to keep the fuel in good shape/fresh. That’s the intent of the statement regarding NOT storing fuel in the bike.

Bringing a 4 year old thread back with a weird question I hope someone can answer. I have a sealed, never opened, 5 gal VP T2 that has been sitting in my garage on wooden blocks for 8 years. Is it still good? Not sure how that premix breaks down over time.

I was saving it for a “special” event/ride but nothing I do is really that special anymore apparently.

If there’s no  rust on or in the can and the fuel comes out looking and smelling “ ok “
I’d run it

Weed Eater use lol, not worth the risk.   More hassle than saving $100 imo

Or run VPR and just mix your own oil as T2 is just VPR with oil.
