I never said the US should copy the economic policy. and I agree with your first sentence.
This all started when I asked Oldpro if a higher minimum wage eliminated the middle class in other countries.
my point stands, it did not do that in any of the aforementioned countries. this is a simple fact.

But as to whether they are socialist or not, I am sorry but they are categorically not socialist. That is not an opinion, They are just not.
All have free markets, the government or people do not collectively own the means of production, nor do they set the levels of production, or distribute the output to the people.
none of the countries listed above fit the description, nor do they self identify as socialist.
Do they have some socialist policies? sure, but so does every country, US included (albeit less than most)

Come on man, do you really think Australia is socialist? SMH

I think Australia sucks. After watching how they’ve treated their citizens during the scamdemic, it only reinforces my stance on why big trust in government ends badly 11 outta 10 times.

As for your definition of socialism versus mine. You described full scale communism. Which is the eventual goal of socialism, admitted by the founders themselves!

I dont want the government controlling (or owning the means of production. And when they set the wages i must pay, they’re doing just that. All their beuracracy has ever done is stifle productivity. They dont solve problems, they end up creating new ones.

Raising minimum wage in America hurts us and comparisons to other cultures arent relevant unless you wanna compare apples to apples.

The better comparison is US states versus other US states. Look at the quality of life in the states that have leaned harder into leftist policies - it hasn’t improved, it’s gotten drastically worse.
No problems, you think my country sucks. That’s cool. Ever been here? I think you would be shocked how close the culture in Australia is to that of the US.

As for the “your definition of socialism vs mine”
It’s not “my definition” it's THE literal definition

You obviously don’t know what socialism is, and the countries listed are categorically not socialist. It’s not an opinion it’s a fact.

Again, I never said the US should raise minimum wage.not a single time.
