Haha hahhaha I agree! Instincts are horrible. I got a few pairs for free and still can get them free, but I'd rather spend retail on sg12s all day long!

I must be the weirdo cause I didn't feel the SG12s were a whole lot better than the Instincts. Pretty similar comfort and feel and both real easy to get in and out of. Both well put together. But the Instincts were available to me at dealer cost so I went with those and have no regrets. Long term durability is the only thing I'm slightly concerned about. Also tried the tech 10s on and felt they were not up to par against neither the Instincts or the SG12s.

Can someone with knowledge say something about the protection, not only the comfort of the boots? I have the Sidi Crossfire 2 SRS. They needed no break-in for me. They were very soft and comfortable, but I do notice that they are too soft/flexible, and I dont feel as safe in them as i would like to. Also, one of the big reasons I bought them was becuase you can change the sole. I have had these in three seasons now, and not planning to buy new boots every year. Simply because I cant afford it. So how is the durability on the SG12`s?
Thanks.

By the way BTO has 20% off SG12`s.

I wasn't expecting much of a difference but wow - what a great boot!
Hmm... I actually like my 10's better than my 12's... Doesn't make sense, but the 10's feel better...

I happen to know that not everyone can go by Paul's fit critique. Unlike most people he has two left feet you know.

I went from 10's to 12's the biggest difference for me was the padding around the angle area.Much nicer in the 12, hug my angle nice and tight and I can wear them all day. I actually wear the boot fairly loose in the buckles and I still am getting great support.

If you put the 10's and 12's next to each other the 10's have less curve up in the sole at the toe. I didn't notice any difference in the fit with that.

For those that have had the sg10 & went to the sg12, did you notice any weight savings? I have the sg10 now & love them but my only complaint is they are so heavy. I was going to get the sg12 but only if there was some weight savings... if not I’m going with the instincts.
Thanks guys & LMK your thoughts Smile

Sg12 Best boots imo. I've had some bad get offs, one where I landed directly on my feet and still never had a foot/ankle injury while wearing sg12s. Plus they're so comfortable. Very squeaky while walking though haha

The sg12 is a lot better than the sg 10, but the tech 10 feels a lot better than both of them. I couldn’t get over the ridiculously stiff sole and toe box on the gaerne boots.
