it would be a cool bike in theory. but do you really want a sluggish off the bottom 250 f for offroad?

I am willing to bet in 2019 there will be no 'sluggish bottom end' on the R or the RX version (if there is one)

I know hoses and the same kit fits .... CRF250R 2004-2009 & CRF250X 2004-2018

I would say its time for a change.

I suspect there will be one, but I think it needs gearing for off road, otherwise I think it will struggle against the other offroad offerings in the high-speed stuff.

Hopefully the ergos get opened up as well. I have a blast riding my 250F, but my KTM just works better off road. The riding position on the KTM gives me more control especially on steep hills.

The 04-18 CRF250X still has a carburetor. Stepping up to a more recent motor with fuel injection would be a major step forward. People that seriously compete off road on a mx bike often change suspension, gearing and go to a rear 18 rim and tire.
