Hey guys I tried contacting the guy who painted the helmet after a month of it not showing up and it sounds like it might be a goner. I honestly do not believe he ever sent it. He has offered me no explanation as to what happened and it just seems really suspicious that he has no tracking information and only responds to about half of my text messages when I ask him where the hell the helmet is. I'm sorry it ended like this. I just wanted to raffle the helmet off for a guy who had a life changing injury while racing supercross and is trying to get his life back together. It's a shitty deal.
The worst part was that barely anyone participated so it barely raised any money. I wanted to at least follow through with the original plan.
The Shop
The dude looks to have stolen the helmet plus a sum of extra money that was for a custom paint job. he shouldn't be outed unless the dollar amount he stole is full pop for the paint job that he didn't do? What planet are you from dude?
$50 insurance it looks like too. Just so you can say you insured it?
Poor you.
Dude literally just shipped the thing this morning before getting on here to bash the OP. I get it, we all get behind at work, especially when the word "for cost" is involved. Manning up would have been the way to go IMO.
I know one thing for sure, if I ever need a helmet painted you are definitely my guy. I like how you operate.
Pit Row
Carry on...
Did anyone else step up and donate? Did any of you put several hours into painting a helmet for the kid? Please list what you have done for this charity or any other.
Choclatethunder782 please list your 501c3 tax ID I would love to follow up on your progress and see the funds you have raised are given to the beneficiary.
Either way, glad the helmet is on its way to the OP.
Nice snowjob motokid, but your story stinks worse than a Porta Shitter at 5pm at the Red Bud National. Kudos for the "Oh, woe is me" touch, but it seems guilt is the only thing is the only thing that brought this to an end. Nice work, Eeyore.
