No photo, but I used to have it on my old, old phone.

JS7's Kawasaki in the pits before the Dallas SX crowd was there, walked right up and seat was off and you could clearly see a remote reservoir attached by tubing to the conventional reservoir nitrogen fill port. I snapped off a few and then JDog noticed me and came over and chased me off. Never heard anything about that setup again.

Haha, you're not alone there! It's a lovely bit of kit.
Don't forget to add in the cost of having a fork lug machined with the radial mounting.

That round thing with the cable is the servo motor that ran the power valve , they also had to run a battery pack for it that lasted about an hour

But there was a video a few years ago on the endurocross scene and MX scene of them talking about how they had swapped them out.
Cooper abbot was one of them, and im sure of it (could be wrong..) but AC92 was running it as well at one point.

something to do with the location of the chain guide position and the length on the swing arm came into play.

Ill try and search for the link.

I remember watching another one on Destrys bike and he was talking about 500 swing arm etc.. I think its a pretty cool thing to do.

08 KX450F swingarm, the off road team used to do that. The Moto team would re-weld the mounts on their swingarms to accept the older chain guide layout.

Bang on bru, Honda had been testing servo pv motors on many of their bikes, even on the previous gen 03-01 engines they had servo pv motors in test before they ever went to a servo motor in 02

Rumour had it that was one of the most expensive 2 strokes at that time and filled with one off custom parts. Would love to see what goodies they had made for that bike.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but whilst looking for some KHI bits for my KX250, I come across this thread and this page with some cool bits, like the KHI petcock! Never seen a works fuel tap before!

How do they justify the price of the brakes, is it a volume thing?

I have some 'factory' equivalent Ford British Touring Car calipers here at the moment, mega light, drilled Ti pistons, etc, those only cost as much (singley) and there's ten times the material?

There were claims a few years back that the under frame shock was going in to production.
I realize this is from 2018 but I’ve always been intrigued by this bike too. It’s a “pull” shock, so when the swing arm travels up the linkage pulls the shock together from front to rear. Pretty cool, some downhill bikes had it in the early 2000s.
