I'm not sure how to feel about this? Happy for them to have breakout rides (I'm sure they have a resume, but I've never heard either name) or bummed that they could pop in out of nowhere and snag a top 10? Mud race excuse?

Props Gentleman! Great rides!

7th Tyler Medaglia Kawasaki Canada

8th Valentin Teillet Husqvarna France

It's a little hard to google him..

Tyler Medaglia is a 2 time 250 Canadian champ. He finished 4th Overall in the 450 class this year and has represented Canada at the MXdN 5 or 6 times.

He also has an AMA West Lites Arenacross title.

So you pretty much proved his thread title to be useless. Not as unknown as percieved. Blink

Well if you don't follow the Canadian series I suppose he's an unknown but he's far from being an unknown.

He's also raced a few GNCC's with good results. Dude just loves to moto. He also raced the ISDE in France last year before heading to MXdN to represent Canada.

As I said, I'm sure they have a resume, but for me:

Teillet races French Outdoors and Supercross series with VRT KTM, his own team if I'm not mistaken. He's also the mentor of Tom Guyon one of the big talents from France (scoring great results in his first full EMX125 season).

Good for TDags, the first Canuck to finish top 10 since Thompson (I'm guessing). Hope this moto goes as well.

You're correct last Canadian was Thompson.

Riding in 6th right now. Pumped for him.

Forgot to mention but Tyler is also 31 years old.

Teillet already rode in America for team Bud Racing Kawasaki (250 SX West Coast and a few 250 outdoors too).

The age limit made lots of those riders drop down to EMX250 or just say: "ByeBye I gonna do something else" Frenchies and some others who really wanna work for it are doing FFM SX & MX, ADAC SX & MX, ...

Does 1 race, goes 7-6 for 6th overall, scores 29 points and finishes 29th in the overall 450 standings. Not bad.

Tyler just loves to race his dirtbike.. he's a bit like Chad Reed in that you can never count him out. Every year leading into the Canadian Nationals, the experts say he won't likely hang with the top guys, but he does time and time again.

Teillet wanted to accomplish a longtime dream by racing an outdoor in the US...
Not too bad for a guy who is about to retire and discovered both his bike and the track yesterday...
Props to him.

First read of the title, I thought it was because the bikes were mud covered. These guys are far from unknowns.

Couple of nobody’s from New England did well in a mudder out in Cali in the early 90s. John Dowd and Doug Henry. I wonder what ever happened to those nobody’s
