the air boxes are burned rite out of those bikes, back in the day i left a battery tender on two cannondales and the same thing happened nobody lit that it was electrical all up near the bars is melted too, and neither gas tank burned

if you have ever seen a fire like that up close, it's one of the most helpless feelings you can get and violent.

stuff can be replaced, glad we are not hearing any injury reports.

Knowing how professional these top race teams are, where it is even possible to eat on the floor and with tons of expensive and specific equipment everywhere, that is going to be costly. Fortunately the damage is only on goods, people could have also been killed or seriously injured trying to salvage the bikes in the middle of the fire (and explosive liquids like fuel, sprays, etc). That was brave, most people would have let the whole rig and all the bikes where they were ...
