I only watched the highlights but I saw guys blatantly cutting the course.

Was this just given a pass because of the conditions?

Marvins pass for the lead looked like blatant cheating to me at first.

Was that line used in250 moto 1? Guessing that side of the track funneled him to it as most guys took that line if they were on that side of the track.

Web and barcia were going around the step up before skyshot. Guys were also going inside of the round barriers in the right hander before the old Stewart/Carmichael section.

That's what I saw. Main line went blatantly inside of the course barrier.

Pretty lame that they would just let that slide in my opinion.

So if it is sloppy they can just cut the course to make it easier?

Lame. These guys are Pros and it is supposed to be a professionally run series. Something should have been done about it.

Why couldn't they throw another barrier out there real quick
To stop them from going inside of it?

I've raced at backwoods Chicken Licks Raceway races that would not have let that slide.

They put haybales in the line inside of the barrier for the next Moto. That worked.

They tried doing that for the line around step-up, but put them too far away and guys still were able cut back over to the edge.

I think the real problem is there were no official yellow track markers around those areas, so how can you really enforce anything. Usually they put a marker on the far edge of the lip of the jump, but there was nothing there yesterday.

Although this contradicts my typical beliefs, in those conditions, I don't think you can penalize anyone. Some of those "Ton Bales", large round haybales, would have worked to set the edge limits, if available. Marvin was also cutting the track by missing the jump after Gravity Cavity every lap.

In those conditions anything between the advertising banners becomes the “Track”. At the speeds the pro’s ride that’s just how it is.

Fortunately for me, this kind of stuff really just doesn’t get me all worked up. If one guy was doing it and no one else then wound up winning, I could see getting a little put off. But if everyone is doing it, then big deal. They may be professionals, but we aren’t the ones out there so maybe we shouldn’t have a say in the matter.

They did do something. After each Moto they bolstered the track markings where guys were cutting the track . . . That didn't stop em. Some guys were gaining advantage for sure.

From what I saw, Tomac should have cut a little more to make it fair Whistling

Such a dumb thing to say. It's like taking a mulligan in golf, it means your result wasn't earned honorably. You remember honor..? Used to mean something in this country, now we have people equating cheating with being a badass. Well done!

How many were skipping the jump like Webb and Barcia in moto 2? TV only showed them doing it, Marv and Tomac were still doing it but that's about all I saw. Didn't see anyone in the 250s skipping it moto 2

When guys were blatantly going around obstacles such as jumps it was a bit too much. Honestly made the race look like a bit of a joke. This is supposed to be a professional series. I could be wrong but I don't recall seeing this in MXGP.

In conditions like we saw, avoiding obstacles isn't usually by choice.

Exactly. Can't even keep it between the course markers just cause of a little mud.

Lots of snowflakes on here who are cool with course cutting too just cause it got a little tough. Maybe they should have given them all a trophy for overcoming such adverse conditions ...

Honestly, this was pathetic and an absolute embarrassment that a professional series allowed this without any punishment. It’s one thing to go off course in sloppy conditions. It’s another for every single rider to take a line and make it the main line that clearly goes well inside the track markers. Not just the yellow plastic ones, but even the bigger styrofoam ones as well.

Should have been a 10 second penalty for each rider that intentionally cut inside on that one left hander. Each time. Do it 6 times and it’s a minute penalty. Absolutely ridiculous. And I don’t care if it was muddy. There was plenty of track to the right side.

Lol...I'm absolutely amazed at how well they rode that track at all. I don't say this often but the AMA made a good call not penalizing the guys for just trying to navigate that greasy bitch. I bet no one could even walk that track without busting their ass.

There was another left hander right after the start where you go under the walking bridge that guys were taking the inside off the track.

I cant believe how blatant guys like marvin barcia and Webb were with it. I get the track is tough, but come on. With them going around the step up jump yesterday, it looked like a backyard race where no shits were given. If you were watching an NFL game, its snowing like crazy, and a guy ran out of bounds to avoid being tackled, would you say ah that's fine, they played in bad conditions. How much credibility does the league have if they let it fly all game?

I understand that it happens in those conditions but in quite a few instances that I saw. It really looked like it was by choice.
