Seems that there has been a lot of motorcycle parts production moved into Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and all of eastern Europe the last few years. The biggest one we have seen is Supersprox. Their production facility is in Zhytomyr Ukraine. I noticed that they were going on BO and got to asking around and found they were there and was told to expect some aftermarket shortages from the war in Ukraine.

That's a bummer to hear. I hope they and their families are ok now and after.

The entire global supply chain could be stressed by the war due to shortages and sanctions. We’ll know over the next few months. Aluminum prices are up about 30% from January. If scarcity increases then prices will too which will push some buyers out of the market and result in smaller companies folding.

I would imagine Ti stuff will all be going up significantly. I believe most of it comes from Russia.

Metal for American Military applications has to be domestic unless special permission is granted!

Here I was thinking that we had to rely on where elements could be sourced from where they're naturally found on Earth. Little did I know we were able to produce large-scale quantities of materials that are scarcely found within our own borders...

If you’ve never read about how Lockheed/SkunkWorks obtained enough titanium to build SR71s, I highly recommend you look it up. Pretty incredible stuff.

There's a Ti producer just a few miles down the road from me here in Ohio

Just wait until you see what happens to EV cars and EV bike prices since battery material comes from many of these unstable regions 🙄
