I'll will say nothing about the GP riders being 1 and 2 and the fact that it looks like a GP from 2007 without the fastest rider Cairoli... are the nationals 4 years behind the GPs? lol jk Americans....ha ha

The Uk are looking good for the Nations with Simpson, Searle, Wilson, Anderson, Mackenzie (provided he races some GPs), Sword, Nicholls all capable of good results.

Right now my money would be on Wilson in MX2 with Simpson and Searle/Anderson on the MX1/MX3

Wilson is crazy if he doesn't race for team GB... What's he gonna do for Canada, ride B-Finals all the time?!?!

Searle, Wilson. Anstie would be a great British Team...

Bunch of world champion vets picking on kids all of whom have never won a major national championship!!! Look at the 450 class. Pretty much all Americans. I think the state of U.S. mx is fine. Or at least way better than the state of this site. Which is full of trolls who do nothing but fish all day to piss someone off. Pretty sad what this place has turned into. Some of you 40 year old never-beens need to get a life off the internet.

Are they racing? No, they are not, hence your guessing is irrelevant.
There is also nothing suggesting Villo could dominate the mx2 class now, because none of his mx2 competitors are there to compare with.

3 of the top 5 in the 450's are not American.

Just sayin'.

Pourcel, Rattray, and Searle weren't 450 racers in Europe so I don't get how it is even close to the same thing as sending Villopoto and James to race the MX2 class.

So, either the 250 class is a true national championship class in which case what's the issue with anyone competing regardless of prior achievements?

Or it's just a support class to allow young guys who have just turned professional a smooth entry into national pro racing, in which case it shouldn't really carry pro national championship status.

Which is it?

The imports had a good day at High Point.............do we really have to try to hash this out every 5 days. I think the American fans gave the GP riders a lot respect regarding the Glen Helen GP.

Two summers in a row our fastest two riders are not racing. I hope Villo and Stewy can find their way to Colorado in September, but I'm not holding my breath.

Stewart doesn´t care about a championship, why would he race a race where there is no money, only pride?
RV would if he´s healthy, I reckon. He´s a good bloke

Would you rather make 10 million a yr or win a championship? I am not a fan of what he has going on but a guy like Stewart should get paid to race a exhibition race. He is the only guy that can move the numbers at the gate. On top of that Pride does not pay the bills and from what I see on Bubba's world that kid has some serious bills.

You know what, I don´t know. I PAY to ride. He gets paid to do it, and then he only races half a series. Coincidently the series that pays the best. If you´re not there, you simply can´t be the best.

A good lawyer does his best and works 24/7, even though he doesn´t need the money. A big or important case is the ultimate, even if it doesn´t pay well. When lawyers seem to have more occupational pride then athletes competing in what is pretty much a hobby - we´re doomed as a sport!

USA owned the bottom of the standing after lap 9 at the USGP, every host nation rider except Baker dropped 2 seconds a lap after lap 9 which is around the 30 min mark, a definite sign of lack of strategy and endurance. The host country is not used to a brutal GP race strategy and fall on their faces. Baker held a good tempo and had some very good times after lap 9 like a GP rider. The host nation should give this kid some praise, he was the only one who stepped up to the GP level except 800 who dropped off also but did place well. Here`s the lap chart analysis of Baker, Osborne, Anstie for a comparison.

I don't even understand what you are trying to prove? Are you saying that all American 250 riders are slow and out of shape because a few privateers showed up at a GP and didn't do that great?

I was under the impression they were no-names as referred to in this forum, remember that Osborne was refered to as a no-name rider in this forum also because he had to go to the GP`s to get a ride,

Osborne would struggle to get a top 10 in the Nationals.

As long as the 250 class is a stand alone c-ship and there is no maximum age limit then I don't see how ANY professional racer can be considered a sandbagger. There is far more sandbagging at the local levels of moto.

I understand what and why people are saying about the sandbagging...but it is a professional sport...if they need more time in the AM ranks...so be it but don't bitch cause there's some experienced fast dudes in yer class. This is exactly why there should be a 125 entry/support level c-ship.

It really is self-explanantory and you, obviuously, understand that; and, the idea that it's a Stand-Alone c'chip has nothing to do with it.

The best part?

When a "kid" like Tomac hands them, the 'baggers, their collective ASS!

The point is: There's racin' for a Check and then there's racin' to be the Best.

Are the 'baggers racin' to be the best...for Multiple Years in the "Lites"...?

There's a need for a better "Pointing Out" rule & it, too, can have it's down-side.

I'm jus' sayin'...

Think you may want to have another look at the 450 Class!

All Americans?

Dungey (yes)
Metty (Aussie)
Alessi (Yes but judging from this board pretty much disowned by most Americans lol)
Reed (Aussie)
Townley (Kiwi)

AMA is the new world championship in both classes!
