RacerX just had a little thing about possible Team USA scenarios in the Racerhead

team 1
RV 450
RD Open
ET 250

Team 2
RV 450
RD Open
JB 250

Team 3
RV 450
RD Open
JS 250 ( no one rides a 250 like JS ) Not sure about the age rule though

Team 4
RV 450
RD Open
BB 250

I would like to see team #3

Team 1 is the only team that makes sense to me.
I don't think Stewart should be selected because his finishes are not as reliable as the rest.

On a 250 i bet he wouldn't hit the dirt as much and finish every moto.

Obviously barring injury I can't see any reason to send Barcia on a 250... ET has gotta be your first choice... I'd send Bagget or Stewart on a 250 before Barcia...

I agree with you my friend. But could you imagine Stewart on a 250f WOW that would be awesome up against Herlings and K-Roc

I think Herlings usually rides the 450/350 at MXDN.

Why would js7 race a 250?
Well he aint got a chance in hell of riding a 450 so the only way he's going would be on a 250. But yes why would he step down . I just wish he would that' all.

Barring injuries between now and the MXdN, it's all about Team 1.

Just my point... Why would you send Barcia when there are others... If that doesn't matter and it's just speed, i'd send James.

Bagget would be a better choice this year than the last few times around, that track, Teuschental in Germany is super hard pack I think.

I think its pretty unfair if they dropped a 450 rider to ride a 250, if they aren't running 1-2 like the ryans then they don't deserve a spot at mxdn. Unless of course a bunch of 250 riders get injured but there is pretty good depth there

He's not going to step down. I can assure you that. He's not going to be on the team. Mark my words. He's one of my favorite riders but not MXdn material

I don't care about what anyone says, It would be the most anticipated MXDN "EVER" if James would race a 250f. "last year star" vs "todays up and coming stars" would be the bomb and very interesting to watch!!!!

It's a problem most countries would love to have; who to send out of all these fantastic riders. I feel sorry for Blake and I don't think his last two MXDN results have come anywhere near to what he's capable of. Clearly he's been a little bit unfortunate (just as Tony was in his many appearances up until last year). It's a strange race. France didn't go right and as for Lommel, you can't really blame anyone who hasn't seen it before for struggling. I think BB could absolutely fly round the Teutschenthal circuit, my only reservations being - if it rains and his wrist....

With that in mind (and along with their individual performances thus far) no matter how you look at it - a team consisting of ET, RD and RV makes vastly more sense than any other combination imo.

I 've said before I'd go with Barcia on the 250 personally,he's gained a lot riding the 450 and he was just as fast as Tomac on the 250

Baggett would probably do well there, but past peformances kind of raise a question mark

Barcia adapted well last year, the USA's best performance by far-He's been before!

Tomac would would be a rookie in Europe and sadly he can choke

Baggett wont get another shot , twice picked and not managed a race where he didnt get lapped on the sunday isnt form in my book..

Im hoping Tomac comes to see what Europe is all about , and see if he can cope with getting a hard time from riders he never even heard of ...

Team 1. We should try to send a rookie each year.

Most of the riders Tomac would need to cope with are already racing here. He would do fine.

Yep. Glenn Coldenhoff is their 250 guy.
Yep. But we don't have a 3rd guy :-(

For the USA I think team 1 would be the best choice. Team 3 would be the most fun, but I don't see it happening.

De Coster would never choose Stewart for a team USA spot. If he wants to win the race...

Tomac is a no brainer over Stewart for the 250. You only ask someone to step down if we don't have a very fast and solid full-time 250 rider, and that's not the case. Tomac is a monster when he's on it (and he usually is anymore)- I would just hope he improves his starts. Baggett is far too on/off to be considered anymore.

I'm feeling pretty damn good about our odds this year. The Ryans are better than they've ever been, and anyone overseas whose watched RV race this year has to be slightly nervous about their chances.

As entertaining as it would be to see stewie on the 250, I see about a snowball's chance in hell at that happening. James has made it clear on I believe the pulpmx show (might have been dmxs, I don't remember) that "roger don't like me and I don't like roger."

I think the 2nd 250 choice if for some reason Tomac can't should be Osborne. GP experience, and Bagget has been too hot and cold this year.

Can Osborne even ride for the US anymore since he has ridden for Puerto Rico?

He holds a US passport so he can ride for Team USA...BUT he's been named to the 2013 USA World Trophy Team for ISDE which begins the day after MXoN so Osborne is not an option, sad to say.

Seeing as de Coster won't pick JS7 what about a Puerto Rico team of:

MX1 - JS7
MX2 - Zach Osborne
MX3 - Barcia

Which part of "Osborne is not an option" for MXoN was unclear??
