Why are so many of you saying drop Chase to the 250? He was never good outdoors on the 250. Tomac was amazing and he would be on the best 250 bike. Which would also leave Chase and Anderson on the 450. That’s the way to go in my opinion. They never drop a rider down though.

I think we should put Bailey on the 500, drop O’Show down to the 125, and let Johnson handle MX1

Every year seems like fans want a guy to drop down to a bike they haven't been on in years. Not sure I understand the logic there

True but it was a one team operation with a whole different mentality back then. I think most riders want to be involved and win the thing these days but at that time it was an obsession.

Let's see what he looks like at Red Bud, but yes... He has kicked the door open for sure.

After the performance from Dungey yesterday he may have to be considered. How awesome was that!

This is my opinion and I mean no disrespect to any rider.

We need to send 3 riders willing to race the MXoN with the same intensity as the race a national or a SX when the championship is on the line. To me that leaves us with Sexton, Justin Cooper, Anderson and Barcia. It takes a special attitude to risk your SX season for a race that is for bragging rights. There is no doubt in my mind that if Tomac, raced with the intensity he races with when a Championship is on the line could run with any rider in the world. From what I have seen since the MXoN in Germany when Tomac was on a 250 he has never shown that intensity in any of the MXoN races he has raced sense that race.

When you think about $1,000,000 for the championship and $150,000 plus for each race win a rider like Tomac or Webb can make in SX I can not say that I can blame a rider for not putting it all on the line for the MXoN.

With the way Sexton is nailing his starts and his obvious speed I don’t see how anyone would want him to bump down to 250s. Especially if he goes on to win the championship. I think the best team we have right now is Sexton, Tomac and Cooper. Cooper is coming off an injury and a long time without riding. I honestly believe he will get better as the season progresses. If he continues to be on the podium and steps up and battles the Lawrence brothers a little more throughout the rest of the season I don’t see how he isn’t the selection for the 250 class. Every single one of those guys can absolutely finish top 3 in their class at the MXDN which could very well win the event for team USA

At the moment I'd go with Sexton , Tomac , and Craig on the 250 .

While you -are- correct. Someone like Jason Anderson doesn't apparently think that way. He's made it clear that he wants to do it.

The questions I have, and there will eventually be a thread for it, who's gonna race for all the other countries(From our Nationals)?

Most notably...

Are the Aussie Bro's gonna race for Oz?
KR for Germany?
Shimoda for Japan? (I'm pretty sure he's the fastest racer from Japan...ever...and that includes Watanabe)
Marvin for France? (Hey, it could happen! I bet Roger would pick him if he was the FR mgr!)

What did Craig ever do on a 250 outdoors?

Once again I don't think anybody is dropping down. This isn't 3 or 4 decades ago. I think if Eli is asked he will do it (race a 450, not drop down) and ride his ass off same with Anderson or Sexton and Cooper.

Toss up for the 250 class. Probably go with Justin cooper right now but we need someone to solidify.

For 450s we go with the gamble that is chase sexton because we know he will probably be the fastest dude there and get good starts but please don’t wash the front end.

For the other spot. I can’t help but rather have Anderson go over Tomac. Tomac is just too hot and cold for a one day race. Anderson won a Moto and has that clutch gene to be able to handle that race - kind of like barcia but with more speed.

Anderson sexton cooper right now.

Dungey stunk it up every nations after he went to KTM so I would lean toward no. And that’s a whole other topic. Dungey was not the same guy the rest of his career once he moved to KTM. Just my opinion. I know he won plenty but he was not as fast.

This is why I named Anderson, Sexton and Cooper.

Back in the day we only had to send one dude and he wasn't even in the conversation. For shits and giggles he went ahead and won all the races anyway. 😎👍

Any of the top 5 in either class would make us all proud no doubt.

I think Tomac would be excited to go if he continues to ride well outdoors and stays healthy. I know he was more unhappy than he let on with how things went in 2018 and would like another crack at it. Plus if this is really his last outdoor season I could see a little extra motivation to race nations. My 2 cents

Remember when we sent Seely and Big Air Tom? Good times…

I think Dunge would be a fairytale story but right now he’s 4th in line IMO behind TomAndersexton

Ryan has improved every race and it is more than likely haven't seen him at his peak yet. Ryan was gone for so long but even with the long absence, he is in the mix now. I am impressed.

Tomac Sexton Cooper
Yep. Dependent on how Anderson is looking at that point. He’s ridden well for us before and I could see an equal chance of Chase winning his class or imploding from the pressure. I think we’ll have a more clear idea by time to choose teams. I just hope it’s not down to who are the best healthy riders left. Seems to be us and most other teams by that point. Other than France who it seems like could pick any French rider’s name out of a hat and still win.

I think Dungey is close enough in speed to Sexton and Anderson now that I'd rather have his consistency and racecraft. Also, I still have vivid memories of the current-gen Kawi shitting itself at Redbud in 2018.

We'll have so much more to talk about after Red Bud...

Chase hasn't been great there. But this "new" Chase might show us what we need to see.

Cooper hasn't been good at Red Bud either... But Hampshire has been really good. Not that I like that pick, but should history only be important when we want it to be??

Fair, but Dunge was not very good at the MXDN from 2012-2014 in his own right. He wasn’t exactly a rock those years
