Hi all, I'm looking to buy a new van to get me and my Dad to the track and that will also double as a family and dog vehicle for holidays and days out.

I have been looking at the Ford transit custom LWB Crew cab with the 2 rows of seats (6 seats) and a separated load carrying area in the back for hopefully 2 full size mx bikes.

Can anyone help me and let me know if I will get 2 bikes in the back of one of these?

If not what other crew cabs with bulkheads are an alternative to the transit?

From my experience, you can’t beat the Sprinter’s. They may be a little more expensive than the transits but they’re definitely worth the extra money.

I’ve had 2 LWB sprinters now, the crew section in the side is plenty big enough for a table and rows of seats and the back section is plenty big enough for 2 bikes plus tools/fuel, compressor etc Smile

We have our Sprinter for 9 years now and it is amazing. The furniture was done by SEC construction in Lommel. There are probably a few guys that do these vans in the UK too.

No advice to offer but just wanted to say I'm jealous of all the cool vans in Europe. Don't see much of that in the US unless you have a ton of money to burn.

Can anyone confirm if you can get 2 mx bikes (ktm 350s) in the load space of a lwb transit custom crew cab behind the bulkhead? Some one must have done it or at least tried!

If you get a transit put deadlocks on it, they can be broken into in literally 10 seconds with the standard locks on them.

350 sxf is 58.5 inches ( when I looked it up, so should do 2 straight .. but I don't want to say definitely. Sorry
I haven't put any bikes in the transit, got a Renault master for that,

So I took the plunge and purchased a Ford Transit Custom LWB Crew Cab, L2 L1 (6 seats)

It was a gamble as I needed a van that would work as Family transport and a Moto Van for 2 full size bikes (ktm 350's)

Luckily for me the bikes fitted perfectly, it took a few tries but as you can see they went in and even has room to spare for kit/fuel /stands.

so all in all a result!

A disc lock on the steering wheel too, there are devices out there which plug in the obd port to start the van,no key required

I went with a low mileage 2017 Volkswagen Transporter SWB and couldn't be happier. Bikes roll in easy and 2 bikes is no problem. Manual transmission. So easy on diesel.
