U.S. 2 STROKE SHOOTOUT

The 2 Stroke Shootout is only 8 days away. Positively no 4 strokes will be allowed on track for Sat. and Sunday racing. sleepymx.com Bike build by Pete Baltera of Tractionmx.com Motor by Rocket Valley performance. pic from 2014 2 Stroke Shootout at Sleepy Hollow. Rider is Mike McDade. Bike sounded good as it looked. It had that nasty snarl and bark, reminded me of works bikes at the Nationals back in the day. The kind of sound that gets you all tingly with goosebumps. lol It was a huge hit.

It's funny... at the time so many thought Suzuki had lost their minds with the 91 and 92 graphics. They were awful. Most people, including myself, removed them. I even cut the pink/purple off the shrouds and just ran the blue "RM".

Now we can't get enough of them. LOL

X3!

It was for sale in my area and I thought about all sorts of irresponsible scenarios whereby it ended up in my garage. Sadly, like all things that make me horny in the pants, it still ain't mine.

Man she's sexy though...

And that's dead on true. I thought it looked absolutely horrible at the time. Somehow, time and black rims just made it so damn dope.

That sound and smell of race gas and bean oil will be nice.

They still are as obnoxious as they were. But now time has rendered them so outrageously corny as to be nostalgically fun.

Some other bikes of the era that I can think of that have the same so-bad-that-it-is-good graphical appeal: the scribble-colored 1992 GSX-R 750 (especially the black and pink version) and the Malibu Barbie's Adventure Bike 1995 KLR650.

That was the original color scheme for the '91, but so many were replaced with single-color aftermarket covers.
