He's a great player. Tone master.
So pleased you understand...

I have some funny stories! Gave him some RFT ECC83's while he was using L5 SS amps....

EDIT:

Just also super nice people are Ty, Dug, and Jerry. They really treat their fans well. I haven't seen them in years...

Kings X' first two records, Out of The Silent Planet and Gretchen Goes to Nebraska are on my all-time favorite list. About 15 years ago I got to see them play in a dive bar on Jacksonville's westside. There was maybe 100 people there. Even better - the opening act was another favorite band - The Galactic Cowboys.

What a great trio. I played in a band years ago, we covered Over my Head.

That's a great song and based on a true story. Doug did indeed hear his grandma upstairs praying every evening. Now to find out Ty is into Moto... well I just need to break out some old discs!

Gibby should make "Complain" the vital theme song.

very cool, was not aware of the love of moto, so that's awesome; however once I heard "King" back in late 80's I was hooked and have turned on a few others to the band...complete album kicks and is still in my rotation. rock and moto on!

..."to be the DOGMAN..."

Excellent Dude!

II'd KILL to see The Darkness paired with King's X on tour... When I ride open areas, I can actually hear in full fidelity the songs of my bands of choice sans external input. May just be from me playing for 35 years.

Dealing with "Love On The Rocks With No Ice" (A solid sonic kick to the crotch) and "Over My Head" is tough.

That shirt is pretty old... Jerry Gaskill, Dug Pinnick, and Ty Tabor...Good dudes.

Hell, at least I saved one... Thanks, Glenn!

And NEVER use your bikes for laundry... Like treadmills. Piss poor. I apologize!

I saw something the other day where they're working on a new album. It showed a photo of his old L5 and Elite Strat. Lots of tube guru's perplexed by that rig!

Great band and humans. I was touring with Cheap Trick in 88/89 and Kings X was the opener for a leg of the tour and from their first soundcheck i was blown away and have be a huge fan since. Awesome dudes!!!
That was the tour Tom Petersson hooked dUg up with the 12 string.
It was funny as they hadn't played a big stage prior just clubs they set up as if they were in a small club and you almost couldn't see their backline sitting in front of Tricks massive line. They took up like 10' of a 40' stage but filled the room with massive tone and groove.
I so wish now i would have tossed a cassette in the recorder and taped one of their first touring shows.

I remember an interview with Ty from several years ago and he said if he would have been a little bit better at moto he would have turned Pro and no one would have ever heard him play guitar...I'm kinda glad the moto didn't work out.
