By pros I assume a combination of fast industry dudes like Sleeter, combined with former pros like maybe Ping, Tedesco, etc like what we saw at the 125 Washougal race? Maybe some of the faster privateers that are racing the main motos?

Snore..... What Pros are going to run this? Like the guy said above.... Sleeter, Keefer, Kyle Regal? I'd rather not see guys that had their chance/ had their fair share of fame in their time, and see a gate full of 125 factory kids. The Sexton/Forkner types.

Why not any of the top guys?(Tomac,Dungey etc) In the 2 stroke days they had a 4 stroke race that most of the factory guys would race,it was cool,.

It looks like the April 17th Two Stroke Race at Glen Helen will be used to pick the top Pro riders for the Hang Town 2 Stroke Invite. And will be used for the Glen Helen National 2 Stroke Event held at the same time slot as Hang Town. It gives you 2 Stroke guys 3 chances to show your stuff. Time to sign up for the April 17 2 Stroke Race at the Glen.

In my 15 year's of being a part of DDNMC/Hangtown, I can't remember getting such a positive reaction to this exhibition. My email has been blown up by alot of 5+ year AMA licensed pros requesting to be considered for this race. I think the pro rider list I have so far is encouraging. Having two-stroke races at rounds 1 and 2 of the Series may open some eyes to the fun and competitiveness of two-stroke racing.

Sure, we won't see Tomac or any other factory pros in this, but honestly I am looking forward to dropping everything and watching this one. Sometimes I just enjoy watching a race where any of 20 riders could win the race, and seeing some stuffs and park jobs along the way. This could be the most exciting race of the day.

By the way, the original flyer was dated wrong and it has been corrected, it's May 20 and the race is tentatively scheduled for 11:20 am just before opening ceremonies kick off. Also, the two-stroke pros will be invited to come out and sign autographs and bring their bikes to the Palladio Mall Autograph Signing Party on Thursday May 18.

Will Benoit be back racing by then (I think he's been injured)? Maybe he'll come down for it; he could even bring JSR with him!

To the naysayers its simple , just don't pay attention , or if you're at the race go to the port a can and take a shit or something while it's happening.

I believe Benoit is suppose to be riding by early April. There's no chance you'll see him racing the two stroke at Hangtown. Needs to get ready to make a good run at the championship here in Canada. I would love to see him race the exhibition race at Hangtown but that's not happening.

It'd be great to see some spectators rock up to the Kaw, Honda and Suzuki pits asking where they can purchase one of the 2-stroke bikes they saw out there in this event Woohoo

As someone has done more for the cause than most, I think Steinke should get a spot regardless.

Why do you say "it looks like"? It makes it seem like you're not sure. You work at Glen Helen. You know for a fact that the results from the Two Stroke National will be used to pick the riders.

Since you're on the inside. What kind of two strokes are allowed? Only current models or is it open to all two strokes?

If Steinke wants to ride the Hangtown race, he most certainly would get a spot on the gate.
