Wow!!! Having someone with a Nascar background could be good but in saying that they also had JGR but maybe without sponsor restrictions with promoters this new team may just work out.

If Ricky thinks he can make a dime, he's on board. His NASCAR team is pretty un-competitive, indycar team is ok because he's in it with Dale Coyne and he's also in or was in Mexican NASCAR (or was it Canadian), IMSA, Asian LeMans Series, NHRA, Late Models... it's a interesting man without a doubt.

I had major doubts about this series , and I'm happy to admit I may of been wrong. It looks like it's gaining steam. Pay out is $250,000 per round? Holy moly!

ML new story, find out where in the hell Rick ware gets his money to have all these uncompetitive teams across so many series and disciplines. I’d think if he focused all his resources and Nurtec money on one he might have some success. Side note: should be okay as long as he doesn’t give his son a seat.

If he can make a dollar he will do it. Potentially great that he is in the sport no doubt, but if he runs it like his Nascar program it will be another RWR joke. He saw "charter system" and hopped on board. He's only about the dollar. He made a FORTUNE with the Nascar charter system.

I would suspect he has drivers that pay for their spot?

maybe it has been discussed but going to a team structure could you see maybe one day having a moto "draft"

kind of like the nfl where the losing team from last year gets first pick the following year?

sounds interesting if nothing else

Where is the dough coming from to front this series, seems destine for an implosion. I've been wrong many times though.

Rick wear defiantly throws the vibe of the first team that will be selling seats to riders ,

I also saw the team can ride whatever they want too, like 1 rider on a KTM another on a Suzuki, etc. So could be interesting.

The Houston Astros!

That is surprising!
As an Astros fan I’d buy all the merch for sure

There's no rule against this in other series it's just nobody does it because it would make it impossible to get any manufacturer support....and to this point it's proven damn near impossible to compete in any major series at a high level without at least some manufacturer support.

It'll definitely be interesting to see how these teams find sponsors/support.

This is actually starting to be very interesting. Competition for Feld is a great thing! Riders getting paid more would be nice.

Even just the logistics of carrying spares and parts for different bikes for 10 rounds would add a lot of expense

Chaprarell tried it in 90s and it lasted one year

They wont be competing with Feld, it will be competing with the nationals.

Lets hope this does not turn into the CART/IRL debacle that dam near ruined Indy Car racing. CART was way stronger than SX ever was and it took over 20 years for the series to recover.

Has open wheel/CART in America recovered? Not in my mind. Stopped watching years ago. Racing is boring and nothing but legacy drivers and no names...again in my mind...

As for WSX-I love this! I hope they would try and compete head to head with Feld. They would take a lot of the more competitive privateers and then SX would be left with a bigger talent disparity than they have now and would loose fans pretty quickly. Then shit will change. Plus I would rather see a sport I can relate to i.e. motocross rather than SX anyway.

Sad part is that the Motocross nationals that "you can relate to" is what is going to take the hit , not SX. the World SX will be running after the US SX series is over and when the nationals are running, could hurt MXGP also.

Well, CDR Yamaha is the factory team in Oz. Maybe they do have Yamaha Japan backing ?

The competition won't be with Feld, it will be with the nationals. How is that a good thing??
