I thought AMA put a stop to alcohol & tobacco sponsors? Am I thinking of something else, maybe just in SX? Wonder why there’s not more beer companies, or seltzer’s, that seems to be all the craze with the younger folks.

Bring it back!

Remember when Gatorade sponsored RC? Had a sick textbook cover with him on it in 7th grade

Well for Supercross we all seen the tracks littered with cbdmd banners so a alcohol sponsor shouldn’t be a issue imo

The advertising standards put in place weren't laws, but self-regulatory codes by the trade groups the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS), the Beer Institute (BI), and the Wine Institute (WI). I don't know if Twisted is a member of any of these.

These groups didn't outright ban advertisements, but set pretty rigid guidelines with regard to which type of advertising was considered acceptable. Examples:
https://www.beerinstitute.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/BEER-6735-2018…

Members pulled out of the entire "action sports" category, perceived as youth-targeted and just not lucrative enough to be worth running afoul the agreement.

Sidebar: Worth noting that during this time, Monster Energy became the top performing publicly-traded company. It's stock is up over 70,000% since 2003 crushing Apple, Amazon, every stock on all indexes:

Ah the good ol days!

I'll probably get bashed for this, but I really dug the look of the Bud Light KTM. Tying a blue and silver beer can color scheme onto an orange and black dirt bike had to be a chore, yet One Industries pulled it off. Reaching a few years back into the silver accent color of older KTM's nailed it.

one of the reasons for not using alcohol sponsors is the riders all have to be over age 21

Anyone know if they are selling TT Suzuki merch? I'd buy a shirt or hat.

Whilst I agree with a ban on Tobacco sponsorship, because I do hate what tobacco does to society, and I don’t think it should be promoted to youths.

but my god I miss tobacco liveries in Motorsport, especially F1

It is still less drastic than in france where it is totally banned.

You guys in the US should really dig more into that direction; all the 450 teams except maybe HRC have riders over 21, and there is as much money if not more in that than in energy drinks.
