Want input from people that actually own and use the tusk impact wheel sets. I know these are prob not as good as a excel/ Hahn set. But are they safe?
Good/ bad?
Looking to purchase a set of wheels for a yz250 that I practice motocross on.

I chose to pay more for a Warp9 silver wheel.
Usually the rear wheel is the one that goes to hell.
Having silver available to match the stock front is a smart move that took too long for them to do.
The Shop
I have a set that I got in 2015. They were originally on my 14 YZ450, then when I sold that bike I kept the wheels for my 05 YZ250 that I bought a few days later. Probably 25-30 hours on them and are holding up just fine. My dad has a set on his 17 RMZ450(50+ Expert) and it is the second bike that set has been on. Wheels have around 40-50 or more hours on them.
Only slight issue I had was that the spacer on the sprocket side kept wanting to pop out from the seal. Then when mounting on the bike the seal would want to pop loose from the wheel and could not get it to stay seated.
Called Rocky Mountain ATV and they sent me a new seal set that included new bearings. Only used the one seal from the new kit and it stayed in placed. Have never had that happen before with a seal, not sure what was up. Props to RMATV for immediately sending a new bearing and seal kit.
Actually beyond excellent for the price.

I had to do a lot of torquing on them so far but they look clean and beefier than stock.
As of this point, I like them.
Since they are rocky mountains In-house brand, I can't imagine them selling a shit product being such a label in the sport.
