Has anyone had any experience with the Tusk brake lines specifically on an Austrian bike? I bought one for my 16 150SX and this thing isn’t even close to the right length. Probably about three inches short. Got curious so I read the reviews and saw some other complaints about the overall length, most of the guys said they just bent the fittings until they lined up, but I’m not thinking this should be the case. When I originally gave up on trying to line it up I just said “Ah fuck it, I’ll just buy a Galfer line.” Only to find it there’s a nice big Galfer logo right on the tusk line.

Is it normal to have to bend a brand new brake line? I’ve never bought a new rear line only fronts, but I don’t recall having the even adjust one thing. Anyone bought the name brand Galfer one and had a better experience?

I have had to adjust the fittings on a galfer line, but not bend them. This was a front line on a kx250. I have a tool (came with some lines a customer had installed on a sportbike i don't remember the brand) and you put it on the line , clamp it with pliers, and then that allowed you to twist the fitting to the correct angle. Pic of the tool:

It's hard to see in the pic but there are ridges in the hole that lock onto the straight section of the banjo. galfer banjos at least are two piece so you can adjust them.

I believe they are produced for tusk by galfer. I’ve always had great luck with them. I make minor adjustments as well

I bought one for my 2012 250SX. It came in Galfer packaging and branded Galfer on the line. It was a little long. It has lasted well.

I’ve had 2 tusk brake lines (1 for a KTM and 1 for a YZ). Both fit fine for me.

No problem! I may be able to get a pic of it on the line tomorrow if you want. That bike sits covered up for limited use due to parts availability.
