Been a long while since we heard anything about the triumph. I think Ricky said on pulp 500 show a month or so ago there would be news soon. Kind of crazy that it’s been 7 or 8 months since first announcement and nothing since.

It's hard to imagine this entire project has been kept under wraps thus far, other than press releases.

I'll guess we'll see it when we see it

Beta is racing mxgp at least and currently makes dirt bikes so they at least have that.

I had been wondering about triumph and beta also.
I feel like neither will enter in 23 like it had previously sounded. The reason I say that is, I was expecting them to secure a rider, most likely nichols, j-mart, craig or jcoop but nothing.
Here is a thought. What if they were to get there feet wet in the world sx. Teams like those and fantic could take the opportunity to enter with factory bike and have the edge over customer teams. It gives them a start before going 100% in the nationals or mxgp

Beta seem to be doing alright.

Need them to drop one of their 200cc 2 strokes into one of their 'MX' trim bikes... steel frame, KYB and a 200 2 stroke straight out the crate... a man can dream.

As for Triumph, pretty poor show to have zero follow up after this long.

I was curious about Beta because I remember them being interested in 2022 AMA MX. I was hoping for a last minute announcement with Anste. I'm hopefully we see both Beat and Triumph in 2023.

Correct, dealers get to ride the bike in October also and I am guessing the press will as well.

Tooling and manufacturing costs have sky rocketed this year. Unfortunate timing to be releasing a brand new product.

Supply chain issues are hitting most industries right now, although you wouldn't think they would need a lot of raw materials until they are actually mass producing. I don't know how supply chain would impact prototype development..

They can't get the bikes to run without lighting kits and center stands

Well, one thing we've all forgotten... Yes, Triumph seems hidden, what about STARK, total darkness.... no one saw that coming. All testing etc. etc. was done in total secrecy. Bad timing for sure, for Triumph.... as is with STARK, delays to production, all sorts of electrical supply issues. Loads of electronics required on the bikes, plus, I'd imagine for manufacture too.

Haha. You don’t have to guess. I am confident we will see it when we see it.

I gotta say, the timeline that Triumph has chosen with this is strange. To announce their entry into the offroad world 10 months ago and still nothing to show for. Although it's pretty obvious by the rumors (Tedesco and RC testing) that they're coming, but the marketing plan has been in my opinion a failure.

They might be hitting the pause button with supply chain issues not going away as China see's increased covid cases etc.. and a looming recession possibly in 23. Better to be late/wait and see vs a total failure due to timing...?
