Triple Crown Points

I agree that some kind of bonus points would be cool. Maybe just a few more for the overall would allow a guy thats needing some a chance to catch up during this format.

If you win all three get 30 points instead of 26? The Triple Crown “champs” (whoever has the best overall thru all 3 crowns) gets a points bonus. Lots of interesting things could be done.

I feel like Tomac result in points didn’t reflect how dominant he was in moto 1&2. Webb came out smelling like a rose but credit to him for adapting and being a closer.

If we count the track time they get in main events, something like 36 minutes instead of 22, the race could pay about 1.5 time more.

So someone who has an off night when it is a triple crown race ends up being "penalized" more than if he had an off night at a standard round. No thanks.
Or, say some rider has a minor injury that he is riding through while trying to not lose too many points. If that happens to be during a triple crown event, he is at a distinct disadvantage compared to his competitors who might have the same type of issue, but during a regular round.

I would argue that the triple crown gives them more chances to get it right.

Yup.
Barcia crashed completely out at A2, and still earned 13 pts.

Fortunately it didn’t happen, but I think it would have been complete BS if Tomac and Web tied after the 3rd gang bang that Web would have won because of is “final”result being better.

The final nights points should be the same as a regular SX race. I think the third moto needs to be worth double or tripple score for the moto in order to make the final moto win more meaning full towards the overall.

Make it 2 moto's, Heats, mains Gangbangs, what ever you want to call it but 2 not 3 and add in a B main

Definitely can be looked at a number of ways.

Eli smoked the first two, equalling more laps than a normal main... You could argue he wasn't commensurately compensated for that effort....

And as Dirty Points said Barcia and also AC and to an extent Eli had it work for them where a bad result was covered up.

I get the penalized thing, but it's just so many laps and starts for the same 3 point gain... We do afterall reward the winner with a bonus point compared to the normal point spread of 2 or 1...
