Surely the "track is to rutted " coalition sees how unfair fixing the track is.

Gives huge privilege to the front runners at the beginning of moto.

Fix the start and 2 turns in,leave the rest alone, that way the front 5 or 8 don't pull so much time right away.

Did you watch the B-Final? HUGE kudos to the track crew for saving the races! Doesn't matter how smooth or rough it is if it's standing in water and only jet skis could circulate...

Seriously?!

Why not make the track easier so the better riders don't pull away that much?

I thought it would be a complete write off with the state of the b final and the weather forecast, they did a great job.

I suppose one aspect about not doing something with the rest of the track is that the ruts and lines might get so bad they become almost unrideable?

Someone tell me why these races are held at tracks that get lots of weather in the early fall?

Two years in a row we get a muddy mess, in a race where talent and ability takes a back seat to luck and a holeshot.

Tracks in this condition are a hazard to the riders. If Justin Cooper is injured it could affect his 2020 season, one more reason for the factories to stop sending future riders to this event.

3 years in a row for mudders.

2017: Matterley Basin
2018: RedBud
2019: Assen

Are you saying the Netherlands won this year because of luck? They were the best team the last 2 years. That's not luck.

So where are they supposed to go where there's no chance at rain at the end of September? Quatar?

I hope this disastrous day for Team USA does not deter the top American riders from wanting to attend next year. The event is better when every team is at their best and hopefully we will be treated to some nice weather in France in one years time.

If I was a top American rider and read this abuse, I wouldn't want go either. These three guys and the team put in all of this effort for free and their vacation time as well. Thank you USA you did great.

Spain or Italy would be a good start. I think the Dutch can still handily win in those conditions.

...instead of this...

That works for the SXoN, but not the MXoN.

What would y'all done before tractors and water trucks?

Fix a few places ,it's obvious where, and leave the rest,

That was a fresh SX track at the beginning of each moto, hence ,why they lapped so many.

No tractors here from 74 ,til muddy creek 79 ish ,and years till equipment that could fix that came along.

So, y'all would just go home and play with your marbles ?

With the amount of rain falling all day , I think the MXGP crew worked miracles getting the track to that condition. The track sucked , but it was probably the best possible prepped Assen you could get in that weather.

Just think what it would have been like on a normal dirt track , or clay track. Probably a lot of injuries and half the guys wouldn't even of finished. Would have been about un-rideable.

Wasn’t Assan, pretty much a Dayton Supercross race?

Have the race in early September like it had been for years and be rewarded with better weather if you plan on having it in most parts of Europe or USA.

...because Evil overlord Luongo wants to milk an extra few rounds out of the series (China? WTF?).

Next thing you know, MXGP is stretched to a 30 round series and the MXdN will be on Christmas Eve in Siberia...

He knows that he can do whatever he wants to the European racers, most of them can't ride supercross so they can't go to the US and get paid.
