I’ve seen several shots of Kenny Roczen and Team Honda lately taken after a win...and have noticed Trey Canard in the background in a Honda hat & jacket. What capacity is Trey working for Team Honda in anymore?

They should talk him into the second spot
When Seely went out with injury this summer, there was some talk of that...which he opted out of.

He would still be a top 5 rider today....if not faster from what I’ve heard of him on the test track.

No one wants to see another ambulance with Canard inside it. I think Canard agrees.

I am told he is one of the reasons why they came up with new settings that have helped KR....Caveat: this is only what I heard there is not insider knowledge here

Without injuries, I think, Trey could have won everything!

Trey was definitely one of the chosen few that could mess around and go full retard and win in spectacular fashion.

I was there in 2014 at the Utah national when Trey wiped the field going 1-1. He was unreal that day.

Like to see what Trey could do in some offroad GNCC style racing. Think he would do well.

Had one of the “smoothest” riding styles. Injuries got the best of him no doubt. Remember watching him at LL his final year. Man what a week hiself along with Izzy and Stroupe put together. Probably the most hyped amateur class during my time following.
Was a true class act for the team he represented and sport as a whole. Could see him moving into a team manager role.

One of the most promising careers among the many the 450’s have destroyed.

Glad to see Trey smiling. Very happy to see Hahn and Canard successfully transition into life after racing.

What always amazed me was how he would miss races and come back like he never left.

This and the week before at Ponca (I don’t remember Trey being there, just Stroupe and Nico?) was some of the best racing I’ve ever gotten to watch.

They were all so far above the next best guys and pretty equal between each other almost all of the Motos were a battle.

I always found similarities between Stew and Trey’s styles. Incredibly smooth and in control while going Mach 2 all the way until BAM game over.

Trey was awesome. He could come back from an injury and be just as fast when he left. Always a threat for the wins, but then he'd get hurt and after a few times, you could just see the heartbreak on his face.He made the smart choice to retire, and it's nice seeing him still involved with the sport. I thought he was going to pursue a ministry based on his faith. Truly nice guy.

Canard is one of the fastest and most talented riders of all time, but his "full send" style too often resulted in chaos when he was on a track and bunched up with other riders. A better rider than racer, even though he did have some success in his career.
In a 1 on 1 situation, Canard is a threat to anyone in this world still today. On an outdoor track or a supercross track. Canard is a honey badger with a sweet smile.

Very good analysis, and very true. The video is cool as F because it captures those two getting into a direct scrap with one another, and it was a thing of beauty to watch.
