Tragedy at a socal track 3-8-2020

Hey guys,
Hate these types of posts but one of my close friends passed away. We are a close knit group of friends that have been motoing since 2000!

Yesterday a regular day at the track and a hard crash has ended my friends life right at the track! Father of 6 kids early 30s. I love this sport but at times it can be so brutal. Any support would be gladly appreciated!

Man , I hate hearing this stuff.I couldn't imagine losing one of my closet riding buddies , either dirt bike related or something else. Some of my buddies go back 45 years since we were little kids. That would be a tough thing to deal with. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife , kids and other family.....and too you too dude. Keep your chin up ,and I'm really sorry for your loss.

Horrible news, thanks for posting the GoFundMe. I was supposed to ride Cahuilla yesterday but my buddy wanted to hit Perris instead. I didn't know Mike but apparently he worked at Chaparral around the same time I did. Sorry for your loss.

Really hate hearing about this kind of stuff.

Unfortunately I know firsthand what you are going through..... I've lost a good friend at the track as well. 😓

Hope he had a life insurance that pays even if racing.

In early 2000s I had one that paid one million,wasn't that expensive .May be now,not sure

The peace of mind it gives worth it.

That sucks to hear.

Seems like I see this so much more often now. Although, I’m sure the odds have always been the same, just see it more now with sites like this and Facebook than I did when growing up.

I’m 34 now, about done riding. Don’t want to get injured any more, or worse leave my kids behind like this.

With my 7 and 12 year old sons addicted to motocross/racing, it definitely has me questioning the level I want them to get to.

My 7 year old is trying to get to LL this year, after that we’re definitely taking a step back. Maybe get more into bmx or other things they are interested in.

So sorry for you’re loss I’m 12 and just know getting faster and faster every ride and this really gives me the chills because as I get faster and faster I try new things and trying things for the first time means you don’t know what you’re doing... really makes you think 😥
