I've noticed during the track work before the mains the fix jumps and turns but the dont touch the whoops. Im not trying to talk into the Decoster conspiracy, although Chad Reed mentioned on the pulpmx show never ever did the track workers listen so carefully to him as when he was on Decoster's team. But im not saying they should be rebuilding the whoops before the main event but atleast roll the ruts out of them so its an even playing field so people can get out of the groove and ride none rutted up whoops because it plays to much in to the hand of whoop jumpers imo...

I would propose that decoster didn't have as much to do with them listening to reed as people simply growing tired of his constant whining.

I’ve been following this sport for more than 25 years and I have never seen a track crew reface the whoops once the night show has started.

Have you ever tried to build whoops? Just cleaning up the ruts like you suggested would be a time consuming process.

They wouldn’t have time to redo the whole track

It will be interesting what they can do with Lazer and GPS and track designs in maintaining tracks.

Future operators will be up in the press box with a laptop and an energy drink

Only way you could fix them is roll with the loader.
It will remove the ruts but will really tame them down.

Fill and blade with a CTL won't pack into the rut very much.
It will look smooth but the ruts will be just below the surface and thats really sketchy.

They fix the worst stuff as fast as they can so that there is safe competitive racing.....they don’t have time for the whoops.

Bobcat has had a remote control system for their loaders for awhile.
Last year the came out with a system that controls them with an iphone or ipad.

It's not far away
