That’s not very much rain, there have been inches at a time dumped at Loretta’s in the past. .25 inches of rain the day before is nothing. As long as it’s not pouring on race day or the night before it will be fine. If they can make a track rideable for 50’s after a flood then they can make it good for the pros after a small rain.

Been to LL's enough to know that it's 50/50 every day on rain. During amateur national week, everyone knows you always prep for at least one mud race.

It's LL's, it'll either be muddy for the first practice and beautiful the rest of the day, or be great all day until it rains at 2:00

I would think they'd make a little longer.

In the Loretta's recap podcast with Matthes Weege and Keefer, Wedge mentioned that they were going to try and leave the track rough from the amateurs last week. To keep riders from complaining about 'amateur bumps', they are just adding mulch and sand over the rough track to 'trick' them.

Also, I do remember hearing that they will add length to Storyland in the back.

Yup, adding length. They said there was talk, if joking, about jumping the creek. They nixed that but they are lengthening the track by adding a section.

When it was first announced they were having the first National there I didn't have a great attitude about it but now I'm kind of geeked over it Smile I can't wait to watch some Outdoors!

Not much on track changes. Top amateurs were running in the 1:40s range. There's gonna be a lot a laps put down Saturday. Can't even imagine how beat to hell this track will be by the end of the day.

Or like last year a dry week and then a huge downpour right before last event of the week

The GP’s run short tracks all the time. Most GPs have sub 1:50 lap times. With a couple under 1:40. It will be fine.
