Now that the kids are a bit older and want to go to the races with me every weekend, I'm contemplating buying a toy hauler trailer to pull behind my truck. It's a 2012 Exoboost F150 so I'm looking to keep the weight and size down somewhat. I was thinking something I'm the 24-27 foot range. Any recommendations on what manufacturers to look at and which ones to avoid?

I use a keystone outback 237 rs toyhauler. Couldnt be happier it has a ramp on the front side and king size bed in the rear.

I recently purchased a used Carson Titan 24ft Toyhauler and LOVE it. It weighs empty under 5000 lbs, loaded about 7500 lbs. I have 14.5 ft to the first cabinet. I can fit a 4 seat Rzr and 2 adult dirtbikes in the back. It's not as fancy with all the amenities as some of the other haulers out there (we used to have a Gearbox), but I've found all those amenities just make it heavier and more expensive - and you rarely use them. I'm all about lighter, space, and bare necessities. We picked it up for a little over $6K in great shape. I prefer NOT having an onboard generator. We got one of the 2400 Yamaha inverters and are super pleased with it. Runs our AC and the Frig plus lights. You have to turn off the AC to run the microwave, but that's not a big deal. Super quiet and doesn't use a ton of gas.

I'd recommend looking at a WW in the 2004-2006 range, 21-25ft or a Carson Fun Runner / Titan.

I have a 26ft Ragen and love it, Has large halogen lights on door side and at the rear makes unloading at night easy. I added my own set up/ system for holding the bikes while in transit. 5.5 Gen. 2 batteries wired in series with a solar charger on the roof. Love the thing use it 50-60 times a year.

Forest River makes quite a few, good quality. They are they company that builds the modern Air Stream. Make your life easier by making sure the tounge jack, stabilizers and awning are power. Mine is the 21rr model, Grey Wolf.

i have the same truck and have been looking at the Carson 17-20 foot haulers, but i'm single and no kids so i don't need as many beds.

i've actually been thinking of a 16 foot FunFinder and just throwing the bike in the back of the truck.

I have the Weekend Warrior Supercrosd edition that I picked up last year. It's an '07 and has been a great trailer so far. I put tires, brakes and a few cosmetic repairs when I got it. I paid $8500 and put another $1600 into it, I plan on keeping it for awhile. It has a large bathroom, pull down Queen size bed and two fold out couch beds. It's pretty light, but I'm towing with a 2500 diesel. It's made to be towed with a 1/2 ton though..,

I wouldn't recommend the ecoboost 150, my 22ft gave my 4.7 Ram fits but my 5.7 Armada pulled it fine.

I think you might have a misunderstanding about the capabilities of the Ecoboost motor. It puts out 420 lb ft of torque at somewhere around 2100 RPM and has a max towing capacity of a tad over 11,000 pounds. It also has a 6 speed tranny as opposed to the Armada's 5 speed. It is arguably the most capable 1/2 ton when it comes to towing.

What about extra beds for all the ladies?

BOOM!

i threw airbags and cold air on mine it made a HUGE difference, doesn't squat and will tow circles around any V8 half ton out there

I really don't know the Ecoboost motor and could be wrong but a boosted small bore motor just didn't sound like a good idea to me for towing. I'm sure it would smoke my weak kneed 4.7 Ram but I still believe in the no replacement for displacement rule especially in the towing game.
