Reading the latest article in RacerX on Rick Johnson got me thinking?
Who would be your top ten most popular motocrossers or riders of all time with the fans/
Were not talking championships or points, but the guys who really connected with the fans and were everyone's favourite!

Mc (the king, I have NEVER heard him boo'ed, ever!)
JS (since he has hit the pro ranks, the line to get his autograph is just ridiculous, and like him or hate him, you watch him in awe and get excited)
Windham (year after year, you say his name at any event, NOONE boos, everyone cheers)
Johnson (pre-MC, this guy was the personality of MX/SX hands down)
RC (once he left Honda, everyone cheered for him. Funny how a perfect season takes you from booed to loved)
Henry (you want the definition of heart, its him. Noone out there doesnt cheer for him)
Bradshaw (same as stewart, love him or hate him, you watched him in awe and got excited, JS speed for the time, with Hanna/RJ personality)
Decoster (the MAN. he can walk by you in the pits, and everyone turns and looks in awe.)
DV12 (hands down the coolest rider. Plus, everyone overlooks the fact that he laid wood on RC in RC's PRIME in SX, MC was fading, but RC was dominant.... until DV hit the scene. 1 Photoshoot and the books would say something different. You might hear boos because he was french, but there werent many and you are hard pressed to find someone that doesnt like DV)
Honorable mention goes to: Coop, LaRocket, Hannah, Lusk, Emig
But hands down, Pastrana is #1

Re-reading my list got to have Magoo in there and agree Joel Smets had a great fan base.
Also Joel Robert too and Jaroslav Falta.
let's not forget about "On any Sunday" star Malcolm Smith!

Henry - admired by all for his toughness and courage

Smith - first big time mx idol in US
