I would say, Imo,in this order, kroc, tomac, musquin. Tg243,herlings. Edge to the top 3,knowing they have sx skills, but the last 2 could be moved higher.

You have Musquin in the top 5? No mention of Dungey or Febvre?

Right now if we're talking MX only, as that's the only comparison we can really make:

Roczen
Gajser
Herlings
Febvre
Dungey

That's a good top 5 but if were talking fastest.....no one is as fast as Tomac on a given day. It really needs to be a top 6 in no particular order.

Just current dudes riding,rd5 would be top 5 easy. And hard to judge the gp guys, they don't do sx. I was going by combining both sx,mx. If it was just sx or mx the list would be different. Yes febvre is a stud. . I love both gp and American series.

Well, they are not racing SX right now. So if you exclude injured riders, you have to exclude SX as well.

On any given day yeah, he's probably the fastest in the world. But he can't sustain it, that's why he's not in my top 5, not consistent enough

Right now, taking injuries into consideration: Roczen, Gajser, Tomac, Febvre, Webb.

Not including injuries: Roczen, Dungey, Gajser, Tomac, Herlings.

He can sustain it. Ask ken how their 250 MX campaign went against each other. Eli made a huge change from Honda to Kawi. I'm predicting we will see a completely different Tomac next year.

My personal world top 5 right now in mx (eu & usa)
(no order)

Roczen
Tomac
Nagl
Febvre
Gajser

- I'd say Dungey belongs up there but right now he is injured... Same thing for Herlings, So i picked Nagl for right now Smile Since he just won the Loket GP with a 1 - 1!

That's getting on for 4 years ago now. Since then he's been unbelievable one day, kind of off the next. That unbelievable speed we see, he has yet to prove that he can sustain it. I've seen him numerous times have it one moto but not the next. Even if he can put some motos together, he takes so many risks riding like that, that eventually he crashes, as we saw last year. He needs to find a happy medium

I would agree, but even though he is fast, and we know he's fast, I would never include Herlings until he races the premier class. I would definately not put him in front of RD5, AC222 or RF461, all national or world champions. I also wish SX was not even considered. As an American I'm getting absolutely sick of Supercross, wish they would get rid of it and add 5 or so MX rounds with a week off here or there. If SX was not in the winter, it would be the way of the dodo by now

MX only, I think it does

Gajser and Roczen speak for themselves, they're both comfortably winning. Herlings has won every moto except one that he has raced, and every overall. Febvre hasn't been far off Gajser, Dungey is the best American

Motocross only:KR94,TG243,ET3,RF461, with the wildcard to Webb (he has proven he can run with RF461 on a 450 so why shouldn't he be here over Herlings)

Supercross only:Dungey,Roczen,Tomac,Musquin,Webb, Anderson (assuming all are healthy)

Could go back n forth on this all day. I think you put together a pretty legitimate list that would be hard to make any changes

Tomac is way too inconsistent from track to track. Webb is too immature but he could be top of the list in a few years.

And what justification do you have for putting Gajser, Frebvre, and Herlings ahead of Dungey who has three 450 mx titles and is in the top three for all time 450 mx wins? Dungey has beat Roczen plenty of times outdoors, and before he was injured was pretty close to speed with Roczen.

Hence why I said, right now, not all time. If we're talking over the last few years then sure

Roczen
Herlings
Gajser
Febvre
Dungey

Outdoors only ,

Roczen.. World and AMA champ. Currently leading AMA
Herlings.. 2 time world champion, if you have seen him ride , its a no brainer , if you havent , you need to
Gajser , World Champ and Leading World Champs now
Febvre World Champ.
Dungey AMA champ.

In a race with those 5 , any given day , anyone can win, anyone can be 5th .

May depend on the venue also . On an AMA track I think Dungey would beat Gajser or Febvre . On a GP track not so much .
