How quickly does Jame Stewart, Ricky Carmichael and Travis Pastrana get forgotten? It doesn't like long I guess.

With trainers, etc. isn't today's competition tougher than when Bubba, Tripes, Fonzie won?

Well, they didn't have East/West, but today's athletes are probably higher caliber overall than 20 years ago.

Leading his first sx. Got a little rattled after he went down. Never quite calmed himself back down to where he was before the crash. That will change with experience. That kid is something special!

he is better at 16 in USA terms than Chad was, (look at his results in 99 when he came over)

it is far to early to call him the best ever, when he has not won (or even podiumed) a race yet,

He’s no where near James Stewart, RC or RV. Did you just start watching SX last week? 🙄🙄

Aged like milk. But damn. Can’t remember the last time I was so excited for someone. I guess last week for Roczen but before that!

Wasn't it San Diego SX 1983 , when Ron Lechien lied about his age ( he was 15 ) and won? All I remember is #224 when he won it ( The 250 premier class ) , and I think they found out later he wasn't even 16 yet.
