Look AC is amazing, no doubt... 9 titles in 15 years of GPs is unreal and second only to Stefun... But to the point of being the best championship racer... I can point to Townley, Pourcel, Rattray, and Herlings all having beat AC or left and argue there's less titles he might have got done if not for their USA aspirations.
RV. Two disciplines (harder to be good at two sports), 9 titles, never lost a premier title he completed (only really 2 others, 09 & 10 SX, 09MX he did one round), hell, he was only really beat for a regional SX title. 4 straight of the toughest offroad series in the world (him and MC), and lets be real, you have to give him a better than even chance of winning 09, 10, 12 and 14 MX. He beat everyone BAR RC unless you wanna add the MXdN, where i'm pretty sure he won his class each time and 100% pulled something out his ass when the others weren't getting it done.
RC once said "I think I do what I have to do, when I have to do it." RV is the definition of clutch, and to me, 2nd all time, from anywhere and I'm not so sure he'd have not put some blemishes on RC's books either.
