Check out a very in-depth interview I did with an apologetic Tony Alessi.

Good interview, man what a character. Hope the suspension does all parties involved some good. I'm sure giving Mike some space won't be a terrible thing.

Dan gets the scoop!!!

Nice job on the interview, looks like Tony is well mannered and respectful once he is calm- but he really needs to work on the anger management issues...

It's not perfect, but that's about as well presented an apology as I would hope for. Hope they have a future in the sport.

From the latest wording from DC in Racerhead it might mean Tony is suspended longer or banned. Intereresting wording

"For the record, there is no “drug ring” at MX Sports, just as there was no assault of Jeff Alessi, no charges pressed, and no question as to what happened at Washougal. There's no Tony Alessi at these races anymore, either."

The last sentence.

And I hope Tony apologized to DC personally, he deserves at least that much.

How can one guy be so fuckin volatile? Flying off the handle one day, then sounding like a relatively sane person who is in a tough roll of team manager/ dad the next. Good info tho, thanks for all that. There's usually two sides to a story, unless you're in Vital non-moto.

He is not centered living and made emotional decions. Many people do it.... gets people in trouble.

Example: Guy gets in argument with girl friends gets real pissed... living outside of center, and says something mean to her. Never ment to hurt her...

Increasing emotional intelligence and consious living will end this (do think he thought before those words came out of his mouth?). Everyone is capable of doing Tony Alessi's actions. My father and myself have in the past.....

I hired a transformation coach and took workshops to increase my EQ (emotional quotient). Remeber, each of us can either be the our biggest hurdle or best coach in life. I hope he learns from it.

All is good with me Tony Alessi... wish you good health and hapiness and hope to see in the sport in the future.

That's a great interview and Tony stuck in there and took his punches. I believe it, way to do your part to help end this madness both of you.

Great interview. What a scoop. As for the sane manager, then crazy insane person, doesn't seem to me you've been around professional motocross too long. Laughing

It really sounds like saner heads have prevailed all the way around.

Haha good point. The interview could have been a little on the scripted/PR side, but you almost feel bad for him, in a way.

Are all these people stupid "They were reciting article 23 and that they want federal marshals to come into the sport and do more than just ask questions"

Who are "they" and how stupid are these guys thinking its the "Federal Marshals" job to ask questions about PEDs or do anything for that matter. DC is saying it was a personal friend of Ziggy who is a deputy marshal and he was asking advice, but is Tony really that stupid to think the Marshal service would have anything to do with it.

They might as well call in the Dept of agriculture or education because they are both federal.

Good interview.

The guy is a douche though and will continue on with his psychotic behavior and subsequent apologies throughout his life.

That is a good interview Dan , you asked questions and got answers not like the Nerd interviews where he tell his opinion and then tries to get the person he is interviewing to validate it. Evil

He still the same person, they're still the same family. There's a difference between sticking up for your kid, and teaching hm what's right and wrong. " I don’t think one time I came down on him hard, and in the end" and that's why the kid only learns to apologise when there's no other way to weasel out of it.

While I think tony really screwed up and was a complete tool, I have to respect the fact hat me manned up.

Regardless, Jeff did a very bad thing to his brothers's career. It's not Mike's fault, but he is paying a hefty price.

It's a start... but Tony has a long long way to go to regain what little respect he previously had.

Multiple Personality Disorder - is defined as a condition in which "two or more distinct identities or personality states" alternate in controlling the patient's consciousness and behavior. He is still a CRAZY BASTARD !!! This is a nice interview and apology on MONDAY !

tony can apologize all he wants. i've been around people like that my whole life. I call it passive aggressive. If you can't handle yourself in a professional manner while at work, then you have no place working there.

show me a business or job that i can act like he did and still retain my job. nowhere.

he needs medication. needs to go fix the issues. also thought the "no issues" for 2 years thing was kinda funny. I hope davey bans his ass for a long time.

He's got at least ten years worth of shit to make up for. And that's just since Mike turned pro.

True...I'm not sure he ever get that chance...If he gets a longer or even a lifetime ban he will persuade Mike to go to the GP's just so he can be involved....mark my words on that.
