Tommy Searle AMA 2020 ?

I watched the studio show on mxgptv today and it looks like Searle hasn't got a ride for next year and doesn't seem willing to ride on a team that isn't factory supported.
He mentioned racing some GPS but also mentioned possibly racing some AMA races .
Any one got any inside info?
It seems a bit of a tall order to do a bit of both , but I hope it works out ,it would be interesting to see how he gets on if it happens.

He didn't do too bad when he tried before
Still amazing to watch Pourcel riding. As others Barcia is only one left on top. Dont see Searle riding for Factory team anymore he been out there 15 years and havent put it together 450 even he is sure good one.

I heard a rumour of Buildbase Honda with Dave Thorpe sometime ago.
Perhaps that's why he mentioned select GPS and maybe an AMA round here and there?

So for the British nationals then besides the AMA and GP races?

Tommy needs to put together a full year before he demands factory equipment.
He’s had his day in the sun time to downgrade. Let’s be honest its his legacy getting him rides not results.

Is his kid being calculated to arrive at the 1st? That seems like a nice deal too... Getting children.

Wouldn't be surprised. I was thinking Canada or Australia would be good options for him.

Just a guess, but Probably British championships and select Grand Prixs, unless a fill in ride comes along.

Tommy can still get results when he is healthy. He held off Tomac at last years Des Nations.

All I can say is he won’t be on green, and it will be a domestic championship with some freedom to do some other events

C'mon spil the beans. Personally I try to speak as freely as possible to inform you guys. Please do the same because I'm not in the know this time hahaha and that makes me so curious.

It’s s a shame the factory ktm deal fell apart for him after his injury in Thailand 3 or 4 years bacj. He still has decent
Speed as he managed to turn up to the british and usually dominate. It’s a different level though, and the fields that deep in mxgp now unfortunately I think he’s going to struggle getting a decent deal on a factory squad.

You are correct. Nice deal for Tommy, professional team with good bikes and some freedom to race different events. Should see him at the British GP and a couple others and some AMA rounds

It'll be great having Tommy race solely in the UK, he still has the ability as he showed in Imola this year but he just needs to stay injury free which is a lot easier said than done!
I'd love to see him race a 250f again and he never seemed to get injured on one. Dropping back to a 250f turned the domestic careers around for Bry Mac and Nev Bradshaw and I know he's on another level to them but the theory is sound enough. Might work for a few others in MX1 in Britain thinking about it too...
