Is this the earliest he has ever had the red plate?

Only 14 points separate 1st-10th in points. That’s crazy going in to the 4th round.

I don’t think he realized he had it on the podium. This has been the best season ever

I believe so, and that bike looks a lot harder to ride.

Yea, hopefully they can get it figured out. He doesn't look comfy imo.

He really looks like he's having a blast out there. He was all smiles on the podium and in every post race interview

He’s finding a way to stay in the hunt until he gets that bike dialed in.

I demand MXGP repeat with 3-5 guys going in to final moto separated by around 5 points. What? One can dream.

Tomac seems to be starting this season a lot like his old rival Dungey used to.

Tomac isn't on Ryan's level. Ryan was more consistent, has more titles, and beat Tomac in every title chase they faced together.

Hate to tell ya. But nobody is consistent this year. I don’t think it’s ever been harder for someone to win twice!

Yep and one could beat the other by over a minute and half in a race

Yeah not sure what to make of Eli’s riding. He seems way less comfortable on the hard packed tracks, despite finishes and fast qual times. Ando looks smooth and fast, putting the bike wherever he feels like. Eli looks like the normal hitting your marks safe style. Though I was impressed with Eli’s sneak move to 3rd in the first few corners. Usually he goes the other way on tight starts.

Cool. I'm sure that one race really sticks in RD's head. Then he remembers he has 8 titles and has a good laugh

Its starting to look better for tomac, but we know what happens when he gets the red plate. Hopefully he's got that part figured out.

I’m stoked for Tomac as well as seeing Ando and Sexton being title contenders. Not to mention seeing the work AP is putting in.

I know a lot of people want to see KR94 grab the championship, but I’m personally rooting for Tomac, Sexton or Ando. It’s been a long time coming to see them with a 1 plate.

When did I compare Eli to Dungey overall? I was just commenting that his style of earning points this season is very reminiscent of the way Dungey used to stack points within stacked fields.
