What's great about seeing this stuff is.....they don't get paid to ride them. It boils down to just pure fun and doing something different. Those 250 2 strokes may not be all that competitive in the upper pro class stuff.....but for the other 99.9% of us? They are if you put the effort in. Hope we see more of these super fast dudes on these bikes.

I’m with you Jeffro! And they all have the same reaction when they pull off the track, a huge smile and some laughs about how much different it is. I always enjoy watching JS7 ride that yz250 and coming off the track smiling and laughing about the arm pump he got from it.

Maybe, just maybe, if enough pro's start riding them for fun, and talking about how much of a blast they are, it could be possible, slim, but still possible that Kawi and/or Suzuki (oops, SUSZUKI) could fire production back up if the demand began to increase. Well hell, I can dream can't I.

Looks like he was filming a video for Monster, don’t think it was RBSR practice, but ya know never know.

I thought about this the other day. I don't see Kawasaki coming out with a 2 stroke, especially after they dropped the F for 2019 on the 250 and 450. Unless they decide to come out with a 125 and 300?

I just don't see it happening.

Not even talking about releasing a new bike: Have either of these manufacturers even shown a desire to update the two-strokes that are currently in their lineup? You know, the ones in the market segment that is known to establish brand loyalty?

Yeah, you're right...but I'd still like a video of maybe Eli, Kenny & Musquin doing a few hot laps on their respective brand's smokers. Of course...that'll never happen either.

Yeah, me too. I can't see any of the Japanese manufacturers producing a racing 2-stroke ever again. They have dug a line in the sand with severe rigidity, and have made this known to the promoters, AMA, and everyone who runs the pro races.

Conversely, everyone wants to see high performance 2-strokes raced by current Pros.

Its like in cycling where the riders ride single speed, fixie, mtb, xbike and/or gravel bikes to fine tune their skills and conditioning.

So if you dont have a 4stoke, 2stroke, 125, XCbike and trials bike ....

What do you mean he doesn't get paid to ride them? He's an employee of Kawasaki.

It's so torturous how amazingly perfect this would be to line up at the rimskin but likely would never happen all because of stupid conflicting energy drink sponsors...

He gets paid to test , tune and race a KX450F. If he goes out and plays around on an old 2 stroke.... it's strictly for fun. Has no merit towards his job , except putting a big fat smile on his face ( and our's !! ). That's what I meant to say.
