Tomac in another...universe...

I think because Dungey came from pretty much last, people are not noticing how ridiculously dominant Tomac was at Seattle. Numbers (laptimes) do not lie...

#1 #3 #25 #1 to #3 #25 to #3
Lap R.Dungey E. Tomac M. Musquin
2 57.37 58.86 55.153 1.487 3.71
3 56.50 55.27 55.335 -1.231 -0.07
4 56.71 55.65 55.616 -1.06 0.04
5 57.30 54.14 55.521 -3.157 -1.38
6 57.61 54.09 55.278 -3.525 -1.19
7 56.74 55.54 55.618 -1.199 -0.08
8 56.83 55.77 56.154 -1.057 -0.38
9 56.28 55.51 55.699 -0.773 -0.19
10 57.58 56.73 56.933 -0.852 -0.20
11 56.30 69.80 56.07 13.502 13.73
12 56.512 55.062 57.299 -1.45 -2.24
13 57.101 55.431 57.08 -1.67 -1.65
14 57.145 56.204 57.857 -0.941 -1.65
15 57.101 56.052 57.882 -1.049 -1.83
16 57.682 56.899 57.669 -0.783 -0.77
17 58.594 56.236 58.797 -2.358 -2.56
18 60.18 57.815 57.271 -2.365 0.54
19 57.315 56.555 57.876 -0.76 -1.32
20 58.687 57.497 60.912 -1.19 -3.42

-# Eli Faster
+# Eli Slower

Dungey was faster that Eli on TWO laps. 2 (Eli in bad traffic), and 11 (crash)...and Eli was on ave about 1.5-2s a lap faster than RD.

MM was faster than Eli on FOUR laps.

If Eli does not go over the bars, he beats MM by 10s.

Ridiculous how much faster Eli was.... IF he stays off the dirt, he takes the title.

When lappers were not in the way when Eli could link up that section after the Finish Line that's where he gained the most but he couldn't always do it depending on how the traffic was

No one is touching Tomac this year. 29 POINTS down to a TIE. Tomac is on fire and it's not gonna stop anytime soon. Sorry to everyone that is racing him.

Can you do a screenshot of an excel table or something? Those inline numbers are a bitch to figure out

Enjoy watching RD5 on a Supercross track these last few rounds, because they will likely be his last. We're witnessing the proverbial passing of the torch this season... and that's not even factoring in KR95's return someday (hopefully)

His season is all time great. If he hadn't had the mechanical problem in Dallas, he would have a huge points lead.

if he doesn't win the title then i'll be looking for another sport that doesn't have 'mechanicals'.

Grinning He definitely deserves it.

On tracks like last night Tomac is just absolutely phenomenal to watch. He rides ruts better than anyone else and he's just absolutely on rails. Outstanding performance

Damn.

Last year at High Point, ET3 had the aggression, but KR94 was an iota smoother and KR94 had a little wick left when required the majority of the year. The flashes of ET3 were there throughout last year's outdoor season.

Fast forward to now... KR94 or not , Eli has mastered/is straddling the fine line of "Balls of Steel, Brains of Shit, and I GOT THIS".

Remarkable... Time to put on the ET3 Budds shirt and wrench some. I am inspired, screw the lawn mower.

The mxon ride two years ago proved he was the fastest. Never seen anyone rail outside lines like him coming through the pack.
Imo not even roczen would stay when both are comfortable with their setups. Dungey doesn't even factor in the raw speed stakes.

Funny, Tomac seems to turn on the "FMOTP" switch the last years of his contracts - witness 2013, 2015, and now this year?

I guess he can never sort out the bikes until after the first year..

The scary part is Roczen is even faster. He dominated Eli last year besides southwick and Eli was hauling ass last year. I realy hope kenny can come back to full speed and we will be in for some of the best racing we have ever seen....or at least in a long time. Dungey vs poto was one sided, Dungey vs an injured roczen/bike setup issues was boring. Dungey vs tomac this year has been exciting but only because of how fast Tomac is going. If Roczen can come back to full speed and he and Tomac both stay healthy for an entire season it will be the best racing since James vs Carmichael. That was some great racing. Roczen was faster than Tomac coming into this year but I feel like if he wins the championship this year the confidence boost he will gain along with the bike progress made he will be ready. Roczen coming off of a massive injury is going to make it tough for him to ever get back to full speed but if he does its on. If he comes back to 100% we are in for a massive treat in a year.

If he hadn't crashed he would have won and then 3 years from now we'd all be talking about this race like we now talk about Toronto 2014.

Umm did you not see the ass whooping Tomac put on Rockzen in 2015 MX? No Rockzen is not faster. Last year Tomac was comming back from injury and a new bike. We are not seeing same Tomac as last year.

Keep in mind, your declaration about Roczen (first sentence) is a present tense statement. You then go on to give examples why, in reference to the first sentence, in the past tense.

Does not matter, which one have we seen the last 10? In fact we are seeing a Tomac we have never seen. Hope he keeps it together last 3

I dont think you can say that. When one has been up, the other down. We have not had an apples to apples comparison since 250s. Comparing KR to ET last year is nonsense. ET ripped both arms out of his shoulder sockets...and it was an 18 month recovery. Last year he started the season really weak. The same will go for KR next year as he will likely still be recovering, physically and mentally.

When he went down he was faster. Thats the last info we can go by so theres no logical way to say tomac would have definitely beat him.

Correct. It's not logical to say Roczen is faster.

It's been about 1 year and 10 months since Eli destroyed both his shoulders. The 2016 season was nothing but rebuilding himself ( including confidence ). Other's that have had that same injury on just one shoulder took 2 - 3 years before they were 100% again....if ever.

The first 5 national motos of 2015 showed what a healthy Eli can do. Unfortunately in 2018 and 2019 will be a rebuilding time for Kenny.

The only real comparison we can do here is compare their 250 days and first stint on the 450's.
