I think because Dungey came from pretty much last, people are not noticing how ridiculously dominant Tomac was at Seattle. Numbers (laptimes) do not lie...

Dungey was faster that Eli on TWO laps. 2 (Eli in bad traffic), and 11 (crash)...and Eli was on ave about 1.5-2s a lap faster than RD.
MM was faster than Eli on FOUR laps.
If Eli does not go over the bars, he beats MM by 10s.
Ridiculous how much faster Eli was.... IF he stays off the dirt, he takes the title.

The Shop
On tracks like last night Tomac is just absolutely phenomenal to watch. He rides ruts better than anyone else and he's just absolutely on rails. Outstanding performance
Last year at High Point, ET3 had the aggression, but KR94 was an iota smoother and KR94 had a little wick left when required the majority of the year. The flashes of ET3 were there throughout last year's outdoor season.
Fast forward to now... KR94 or not , Eli has mastered/is straddling the fine line of "Balls of Steel, Brains of Shit, and I GOT THIS".
Remarkable... Time to put on the ET3 Budds shirt and wrench some. I am inspired, screw the lawn mower.
Imo not even roczen would stay when both are comfortable with their setups. Dungey doesn't even factor in the raw speed stakes.
I guess he can never sort out the bikes until after the first year..
Pit Row
The first 5 national motos of 2015 showed what a healthy Eli can do. Unfortunately in 2018 and 2019 will be a rebuilding time for Kenny.
The only real comparison we can do here is compare their 250 days and first stint on the 450's.
