The way he rode in the second moto at Pala was like old times and as I watched I realized it could be one of the last times we witness transcendent form from him(hopefully not). Honestly it made me a little emotional and the recognition that life is fleeting hit me. I remember first hearing about Eli when he was very young and being blown away and excited that John's kid was kicking ass at moto.

I like Tomac a lot and he is Mrs. Hi Side's favorite rider. I like his demeanor and dogged determination. I wish him all the success in the world no matter which team he's on in the future.

There's no one better when the going gets tough.

He'll be fine, Eli on blue could be lethal.

Both titles next year, Eli and his team know what they want out of a motorcycle. Star won't hold anything back.

Blue Crew in 2 seasons will dethrone everything the 450 class has built upon in decades.

When you look at Dylan, Christian, and AP's motorcycle you see a very stable platform. It turns well, but it handles rough really well. I am really intrigued to see how Eli adjusts to the Star machine. More power(useable) as well as a predictable bike means he can really really turn on the heat. The one thing that I believe still needs to be answered and I believe it will this coming SX season is the bike in SX. Heck of a lineup under that tent next year!

I mean, the Kawi looked awfull when Adam was up front more or less every race in the beginning of the season?

People who think that it was the Kawasaki holding Eli back is just to much..

"They say" it took Eli almost two years to get used to the Kawi. His Dad even commented on that.

Will that happen on the YZ too?

To me (when he is on), Eli is the most entertaining rider out there...still. Yes, it will be sad when he is gone.

I think he will stomp the crap out of the outdoor season next year.

I think hes gonna be a major threat on that Star bike.
I guess we'll find out, but he hasn't been the same rider the last 2 years. Personally, I expect the same as what we've been seeing, just on a blue bike.

Maybe I am in the minority here, but I think he resurges on the Yamaha. I think he wins at least 1 of the titles in '22.

Didn't he win his (only) SX title LAST year?

So he has been OK within the last 2 years, right?

In 2020 SX, at least, better than ever.

Just imagine would it would be like if he found his 2015 comfort but backed it down just enough to not push over the edge. I'd love to see it again. Also shoutout to GuyB because I think he took this banger shot.

All I'm saying is that he's been up and down a lot by his standards. He can go out there and dominate a moto and the next he's running around in 8th for the majority of it. That's been really unusual for him.

Now he's changing brands and that can definitely throw a wrench in the wheels.

Not sure about sx but him on that star bike for the nationals is gonna be epic. You know he went and rode that bike before making a decision. Safe to say he probably really liked it.

He's always been tough to figure out, and has had his share of oddly mediocre performances, even when at his most "dominant." He is probably in the sunset stage of his career, but certainly nobody would be wildly surprised if he threw down a fantastic string of races or, alternatively, if he just faded into another of the upper 8.

This'll be unpopular...but the factory Kawasaki was a great bike. I think that if Eli had been able to do the job this season against two faster and more consistent riders, he would have done the job. He couldn't. I dont see why people think he'll automatically smoke everybody on the Yamaha.

This will be less popular but,,, I think some of Eli's problems stem from disgust over DNF's.

I get that feeling as well.... I have the feeling et3 is gonna freakn destroy all comers in 22... mostly just to piss off his former employers.... few things motivate et3, but that is top of the list

I think in general the Kawi is a great bike. But if he is unhappy on the team or there is tension, then I think that is more my reason for him maybe rebounding a bit next year. Like a fresh start. Not because I think the Star 450 is significantly better. But at least we know that it is capable of winning too.
