Was watching Detroit and few other races again. It’s amazing how much faster Tomac is through the corner.

He gains so much time. The others just look like they are standing still in the corners. Tomac rails it with so much speed. Every corner he goes so
Fast and then shoots out like a cannon.

Quite amazing how others not doing the same.

By the way another rider I recall having amazing corner speed was Osborne on the 250.

Fast indeed. He just has such a powerful riding style.

Also kenny in 2016 outdoors was insane fast in corners. Feet also never left the pegs most times. There was one race where he passed like 4 people on the outside on the first lap. That was a fun year watching et vs ken

In detroit, that corner after the quad and before the wall, i thought it was hilarious how eli kept turning down early on everyone for a pass. It was like every lap he would do that and NOBODY caught on.

He likes to rail the outside of the berms mostly and use the rear to steer so he has to carry this speed. He is friggin unreal at doing this. Kind of like Poto was. Watch him on the inside of turns. Sometimes he almost seems to stop.

Detroit had some nice "crown molding" in the 180's for Eli to utilize Wink

I was sitting right in front of the corner left of the start gate. I noticed that too. You could even heard him getting on it so much harder than anyone else. I thought maybe his bike was just louder until i realized how much faster he was there....

I would sure hope that the little bikes are out-cornering the big bikes.

Yeah, Forkner would lap Prado on that track.

I used to think the same but given he’s literally done 10’s of thousands of starts in his life I’ve come to the conclusion if he was going to improve it would have happened by now. I guess some people just have it and others dont. It is perplexing though how often he starts mid pack given he’s usually working with a top 3 gate pick.

Martin was killing it. Him and Tomac puts down some riding. Forkner was just unreal though.

Every once in a while someone comes along with ridiculous talent and he rises above the rest....and you're amazed that the rest aren't "doing the same"?Huh

Your amazement reminds me of Trey Canard's new wife, at the time, saying something to the effect of, "It looks faster to jump all 4 of those bumps like number 7 is doing. Why don't you do that?"

Yep, I replayed him in the180 before the whoops a dozen times. I was kind of shocked he wasn't getting through the whoops faster because he had to be hitting the top of that corner a gear higher than anyone else. And the 180 after the section with the quad, his squaring up of that corner was a thing of beauty..

I sooo hope Tomac rides like that the rest of the series.

Yes of course, same for Plessinger in Red Bud

And more easy for Tomac with his 450.

Talking about supercross buddy, damn shame Lawrence isn't out there to show how good Austin is riding right now.
