Jungle drums say no contract renewal is a high possibility. Very reliable source as usual.

He has a two-year contract... He'll be on a KX450F in 2017.

Wouldn't surprise me. Was his original deal just for 2 years?

There's a lot that can happen between now and then but there's only 3 championship riders right now

I can't see him doing it because there's nowhere to go at this point in the Silly Season... Especially anywhere that will pay him near what he's making now.

Issue with Kawi or issue with their title sponsor? He drops out of MXdN citing his (Monster) contractual obligation to do the USGP's. A day later Monster's PR guy is on here making what I perceived to be thinly veiled shots at one of their star riders. Something strange going on over there.

Yeah I know what you're saying. I'm just reporting the news. And I will add that my source is almost never wrong. Very very rarely it happens but almost never, often to my astonishment. I specifically asked if confidence in this information was high and the answer was, "Yes sir!"

Kawasaki struggle to get riders as it is, why would they let him go..

Maybe Malcolm and James back on green.

I cant see kawi letting him opt out of it without big financial penalties. Who would they replace him with that has a shot at winning something, there no one out there. Should let him have his chassis guy back and do whatever he wants to the bike over the off season to get comfy .

Unless the entire racing staff at Kawasaki changes, I can't see James back there... It did not end well..

He certainly doesn't seem happy under the Kawi tent based on the few times that I've seen him at the races. Whether he's signing autographs or just relaxing with his family outside the motor home, he has looked displeased and unapproachable.

I predict that when his Kawai contract comes to an end that he will be recruited by Decoster to join RedBull KTM.

I believe Dungey may only have a year or two left in him anyways. Plus Dungey is coming back from injury and may find it difficult to find that pace again. Tomac and Dungey are close in speed and Tomac has had nothing for Ken this year really.

Strong KTM Team could be Tomac and Marvin.

I know this prediction is a ways off time frame wise, but I think it could be a real possibility.

It was tongue in cheek...... but seriously, it seems like Kawasaki has had a few people staff wise in and out over the last few years.. if you listen to what Weimer said about not being able to change stuff, which i dont doubt, having seen stuff like that from inside , maybe Eli is having the same issues that Roczen had last year with RCH.

So maybe the Nations thing is down to knowing he cant get the bike right.. and the USGP is down to Monster stamping their feet.

Does anyone get off a Honda and go better.. ever??

Eli goes green and doesnt set the world on fire
Barcia goes to JGR and is phoning it in apart from the odd ride.
Reed was great on the Honda , not so good since.

Who else ?

Be interesting to see what Canard does on the Pumpkin.

I dont think the Honda is the best bike, but the team seems solid, and i only see KTM as a better place to be.

Hmmmm........

Honestly where could he go?

KTM - Full
Husky - Maybe a 3rd beside Ando and CP
RCH - gonna be around? Have cash?
Yoshimura - gonna be 250f team?
JGR - Maybe.... not likely
Geico - Bogles spot? Ultimate Honda PR?
Butler Bros - Baggett, Bloss, Saps

He really wants to get rid of that stupid Monster logo on his helmet and that would be the only way.

No more being forced to race crap races in the off season unless its MXDN.

Could go a couple ways. Look at Kenny's year last year (I know he had some health issues), but then this year he killed it. Tomac could go the same way, have a good off season, and be dialed for A1. Other obvious direction would be a performance based contract. Now before going all batshit crazy on me hear me out. I think most of the teams already have their budgets accounted for. There's not much readily available cash for salary. Pretty much any team could go performance based and get insurance to cover the bonuses, is this correct in how it works. Or, here's a shot int the dark, but what if the JGR starting another team was true. They pick up another manufacturer and run factory bikes then they could get Tomac. (JGR are probably the only team out there who could pony up the cash for a salary based contract to get Tomac, AND here's another thought. If Yosh is going 250 only, maybe RCH could work with JGR and together they could run the Suzuki 450 program. Wow, my head hurts just thinking about this silly season. It's kind of fun to watch it unfold though.
