As everyone is debating whether the astar medic crew did the right thing or not. I wanna give a little acknowledgement to Marvin and Mathilde. Talking to a buddy he was telling me they have basically taken Brian in as their kid and doing everything thing they can to help him make it over here and now with this happening they especially Mathilde have been there non-stop with him. Which is just beyond great not to mention they have recently been down this road with Mikael so having people familiar with the situation is invaluable to him right now. After he kinda went in on everything they have done for him just felt like that needed to be said.

Anyone dumb enough to to not like Marv still? They are good people. I sure look forward to them being back in the US scene. 👍

It is possible to like someone as a person outside of racing, but not like them as a racer.

As a parent, I cant imagine many things worse than being on the other side of the world and having something like this happen to your son/daughter.

Having Marv and Mathilde there with Brian, watching over him like family has to be a huge comfort to both Brian and his family.

Huge respect to them.

rob162, thank you starting this thread and acknowledging Marvin and Mathilde. Kid has to be scared to death and to have comforting presence by his side has to mean a whole lot. Huge props to the Musquins.

French rider who had the balls to come over and give SX a go. Had an accident in practice and looks to be in bad shape.

Everyone pulling for him to have a full recovery.

Absolutely! They would be making the immeasurably horrible situation much less horrible and I've seen people say that Brian is fluent in English but surely it's a needed comfort to be able to speak freely in his native tongue

Not to mention they have already had tragedy with Marv's brother Mika. I'm sure this is a very challenging time for them with Brian. And really for the whole TLD-KTM team....I mean it's not even 4 years since Jesse was hurt at Unadilla. If I put myself in Troy or Tyler Keefe's shoes right now....man I'm questioning a few things for sure. It can happen any time, I get that but for a team to potentially have this happen 2x in 5 years is pretty unreal. Really hoping that Brian makes a full recovery!

Seems like they're great people. On a side note I saw a pic of him hanging out with the KTM 50 riders wearing a knee brace. Most riders don't even show up at the races when they're injured. Class act! And I'm not a KTM guy by any means.

Should that question even come up in the context of this discussion?

Marvin and his wife are showing their colors here, and showing us what really matters beyond racing.

Something to be said for acts of kindness and human decency. Wishing the youngster a full recovery.

Man, just hearing about this. I was already a fan of MM and his amazing wife but now even more so. Prayer sent for a full recovery.

No, it really shouldn’t. It did, so I replied. Do I care for Marvin much as a racer? Not exactly, but I have the same respect for what he can do on a bike that I have for Kenny, Eli or anyone else out there.

Now with that said, outside of being a racer, I love the Musquins. Genuine people that probably don’t have an ounce of hate in their bodies and seem to only know happiness and love for everyone they come across.

I gave the post a thumbs up, which took it to 105 👍. Then I remembered Brian's number #104.
Went back and fixed that.
The Musquins seem like good people, all the best Brian Moreau.

I'm totally bias toward the Musquin's because I was so impressed by them when I had a chance to meet them briefly a few years ago. Down to earth, humble & just seemed nicer than so many others. I didn't know they had all but "adopted" Brian...but that's classy as hell of them to do that. Mathilde seems to have a very nuturing/protective nature, and it shows in her care of Marvin & now this young man as well. Good on them both!

Honestly, I ran into Marv at Milestone a few times and at LA fitness also.. Him and his wife a great people. They are very nice, kind and thoughtful people.

This is going to the next level of kindness. I will always be a fan of him and his wife on and off the track. Im just a fan of good people!

As a racer, i think hes phenomenal, has he made some bad decisions like slamming Eli, yes. but thats racing and he has to earn his pay check at minimum earn the same ride for next year.. He has expectations to meet, and honestly i would probably do much worse if i was racing for 100k a weekend... I get pretty heated over $20 in golf or fast laps at the track, and im in the 50% tax bracket..also... California sucks ass Taxes are horrible here.

It must be hard for Marwin to find the motivation to race again. To see two people close to him get injured so badly. I would take the money and go on with life outside of racing. I would’t be surprised if he does too.

Didn't they step up as well when Peick was injured in Bercy? I believe they were helping translate and taking care of him at the hospital. Good people for sure!

Marvin is one of the nicest and most humble people in the sport. The guy is a world class racer and you would never know it by speaking with him. So glad that he and Mathilde chose to live and race here in the USA.
Glad to hear about the care the Musquin's are giving Brian Moreau.
