I scored a mint 2010 yz125 yesterday for $1500. The bike is pristine other than needing graphics and grips. The question I have is would you keep it or resale it. This bike brings around 3k here. I’m seriously considering just adding it to the stable. They are hard to come by this clean.

That's exactly what I'm on the search for, if you were located in SoCal I'd take it off your hands for a profit.

I'd ride it a few times and then decide. It's not like it's brand new and you're going to devalue it by putting several hours on it.

If you like it i'd keep it, 1500 is a fuckin steal for a 2010 YZ (or any 06+ YZ) here in FL.

I would keep it. Those are hard to come by for that price without putting a lot of money in it.

I would talk about keeping it while I posted it priced higher than giraffe pussy on FB marketplace then I’d be bummed when somebody bought it.

I'm constantly looking for a deal like that on a 125 and have yet to find anything. Ride it once or twice then decide, a few laps will help you determine what you want to do.

Easy flip for sure.

Other hand, you can ride it and rebuild it and still come out ahead.

I’d say the best option is definitely to flip it...to me for $2000.

Where’d you find that thing? I’ve been searching the DFW craigslist every day for the past 3 months looking for a sweet deal on a clean 125.

Ride and decide. I bought one ('05), fixed it up thinking I was going to ride it. Rode once and decided not for me and sold for a profit. Next year I picked up another one ('06), rebuilt and have rode and kept it. For some reason I wasn't in the mood for a 125 the first time!

Unless you have pea shooter experience, it might take some time to appreciate how awesome that switchbade works.
But you'll never have a better opportunity to get paid to learn then right there.
Wear the grips off it first!

I have picked up a few bikes over the years with the intention of flipping them and I rarely end up doing so. I'd keep that gem.. $1500 was a steal!

Flip it. It's not like they are not selling them anymore.

I’m most likely going to flip it. I’m a little to lazy for a 125. I really enjoy my 18 kx250f other than the shitty forks. Thinking I could use the profit to get a mx tech suspension swap. I ordered some JGR team graphics and new grips today.

Fuckin keep and ride it into the ground. Sell for 1200 after you beat the living piss out of it.

First of all, you should feel terrible for taking that off someone's hands for 1500.00.....and man, I would keep that thing-at least ride it first before you decide. You won't find another like that for that price to be sure.

Search CL in OKC, Tulsa, Houston, Waco, Tyler, Deep East Texas, Austin etc. You'll find something.

Driving is worth it sometimes. I drove to Round Rock in 2011 for a 2005 KX 250 for $2000. Still have it til this day.

Keep it. The older you get, the more you will appreciate a 125 and the lessons it will teach you on being faster. Great cross training bike and man, you stole it.

That’s what he asked for it. I obviously didn’t even try negotiating at that price. I just got lucky. He held it for me and was only an hour away. He even threw in a stand!
