Nope not Dowd in SX definitely in MX.

I can't think of the guys name that used to come over from Italy I think it was and run the first few SX's out west.

Bader didn't qualify that year for any SX races. JoJo qualified in 95 at Southwick but not sure on his age. Cooper qualified the year he ran the 520 KTM at the Nationals but not sure on his age either.

somebody needs to find out when the last SX was that dowd raced to clear this up....he just turned 45 so he must have raced sx in his late 30's ???

Cooper turned 40 in feb of 02 when he raced the ktm 520 that season=40 yeras old.
Keller was only 32/33 in 95...................so dowd is way older than them.......

I could be wrong but Larocco still has him covered. If I remember correctly Larocco raced SX longer than Dowd and holds the record for oldest rider to win a SX.

I think Larocco might be the oldest guy to qualify for SX too, definitely the oldest to win one.

Dowd definitely has the oldest guy to run MX because he is a year older than Carsten.

He won a 125 supercross title when he was 33 if im not mistaken.

Pretty sure ur talkin about 2006,dont think mcgrath has tried SX since that year.
Dowd won the 98 west 125 SX title a couple months before he turned 33 that august.

Larocco - Last SX win was Indy 3-20-04, age 33 years 1 month. Last SX main was Atlanta 2-25-06, age 35 years.

Dowd - Last SX win (250/450) was Charlotte 4-19-98, age 32 years 8 months. Last SX main was New Orleans 4-15-00, age 34 years 8 months

McGrath - Last SX main was San Diego 2-11-06, age 34 years 2 months.



Dowd has to have everyone beat in the National MX category.

Larocco was born in february 1971,so txrider is correct...... Dowd was on Team Kawasaki that 1 year in 2000,cant believe he never raced a SX on one of those KTM's from 01-03 or on a Suzuki 04 and after.........thought when he was on empire suzuki for AX that he did a couple SX's after ax series was over ?????Unsure

But I thought he stopped in 81?
