I’ve been watching a documentary about the McLaren F1 team on amazon prime. Title sponsorship cost states about £100m per year!
Anyone know what a title sponsor would pay for a top tier factory mx team?

Heard that HSF is paying a bit more then 1,1mil. euro to be HRC main sponsor. That is less then what he was pushing into his own team, and he's on the shirt from Tim Gajser, Brian Bogers and Calvin Vlaanderen.

I would’ve guessed around the £1m mark. To add to the question then it also states on the f1 side, and I know they’re not comparable but it says on there they need £90-100m to go racing and then the same again to be competitive at the front of the grid, would this be the same in comparison with above? £1m to go racing and £1m more to be a top flight team?

$1-3 Million USD.

Peanuts compared to F1.

What is the name of the docu? I would love to see it. 100mil per year is about 1/5th of what the top teams spend.

Not really, if you wanna work hard and you have good people, I repeat you have good hard working people you can be competitive on a shoestring budget. LS Honda and Clément Desalle were winning Grand Prix's on a budget around 400k. His Honda was build pretty cheap with about 23k euro, (list is down here) but that was also because Clément was upcoming rider who has almost no salary. Because otherwise a top 5 rider costs you almost as much as 400 to 650k. What's told me, with riders, mechanics, bikes (leasing of buying), material such as truck, and all top teams are around 2 and 3mil euro.

Exhaust pipe: Doma titanium € 1000,00
Cylinder head: LS Motors € 1250,00
Triple clamps: Neken € 400,00
Front suspension: fully adjustable 49mm upside down Showa A kit WV2 suspension € 5500,00
Rear suspension: Monocross with Factory Showa gas shock absorber Showa A kit WV2 suspension € 3000,00
Front/rear wheels: 21 inch front, 19 inch rear Haan Wheels € 900,00
Front brake: 260mm single disc Moto Master, standard caliper € 170,00
Rear Brake: 240mm single disc Moto Master € 110,00
Fuel capacity: 7.2 litres CRM carbon fuel tank €1250,00
ACE: stickers € 150,00
BERIMAR: Brake pads € 28,00
DOMA: Pipes and silencers titanium € 1000,00
HAAN WHEELS: Wheels € 900,00
HAMMERHEAD: gear shifter € 120,00
HINSON: clutch, gasket inner hub € 800,00
LIGHTSPEED: footpegs € 250,00
MOTO MASTER front € 170,00 rear € 110,00
NGK: Spark plugs € 53,00
PIRELLI: Tyres front € 70,00 rear € 80,00
REGINA: Chains rx3 € 76,00
RENTHAL: Grips € 22,00, sprockets set € 72,00 and handle bar twin wall € 180,00
SFS: water hoses € 100,00
TWIN AIR: Air filters € 16,00 + special flow kit € 120,00
UFO: Plastic parts set € 110,00
LIGHTSPEED carbon protection parts € 350,00

Did you also notice that his suspension costs more then a new CRF450? That is what makes riders go fast, good suspension!

It’s called Grand Prix driver, not sure if you’ll find it on US prime but I’m sure you can find a stream. Was a really good watch.
